Some backround first: I lurk here mostly, and have never served, so my thoughts are fairly irrelevant. But I like to keep myself informed about military matters, and have an fairly strong interest in 20th century history.

Dont get me wrong: there is still plenty of interesting discusion here, thanks to the majority of people who contribute constructivly to the forums. You all know who you are :)

The signal to noise ratio is getting a little bad though. There is also plenty of opinionated pish, eminating from people of many national and political backrounds (So for the more reactive of you, this means that I'm not being anti-American or anti-Russian or pro-left wing or pro-right wing or etc...).


Why do you all put up with it?

There are better things to do than to lable, stereotype and generally malign people in an ill thought out, intolerant and ignorant fashion, surely?

After all, that kind of stuff is best left to the experts: journos, politicians and bigots.

-racial slurs (violation of forum rules),
-nation-bashing (or is it continent-bashing in your case?, again new forum rule violation),
-bashing of virtually all groups that aren't an ariyan conservative extreme-rightwinger,
-political campaigning against Kerry on a military forum,
-offending basically everyone on this forum (most notable also often the most respectable members)
-and never missing an opportunity to piss off half the forum members,
-and then now this lame arse thing with the multiple accounts,
the only thing you should be surprised off is that you weren't banned earlier.

It was basically the last drop that flooded the bucket.

BUT the way memphiz has been acting in this thred he needs to be banned as well so that the rules are equally enforced (I have nothing against you menphiz but how you have acted in this thred is a violation of the forum rules! GROW UP AND MOVE ON)

Anyway, a big difference is that memphiz doesn't feel the need to throw in at least 1 racial slur in every post, doesn't feel the need to bash entire continents and cultures, and doesn't feel the need to piss off everyone on the forum. He also doesn't feel the need to stir **** 'as a counterweight'...

He just got very pissed off. In a way I can't blame him; if my self-control wasn't as good as it is my posts against SS might not have been much different. :|

Anyway the whole "don't like it, don't read it" stuff has it's limits. He was just polluting the entire forum, and there was no positive effect for anyone or anything. And it's not just us Euros that dislike him.

Now back to watching mocking in an asian **** flick again...

Ban me eh!... the only forum rule i can say i violated was swearing. and if you read my earlier post's i said sorry to the Mod's for the language. i made no racial slurs. i called him a NAZI, but i was only pointing out how he was acting.
im very surprised you didnt get offended on how he was acting. i found i acted apropriatly for the situation, i was very pissed off, and i showed it. i found how he acted (ie: pretending like he was Osama) was very offensive to me and alot of the other forum members. i still dont understand why you think i should be banned, i did no wrong. if this was a German forum, or a Jewish forum and a guy came on here with the name 'Adolf Hitler' i would act the same same, i would be very pissed, because its very offensive. im most likly going to leave this thread now because the guy got banned like 2 pages ago and its still going on.

Anyways I totally agree with you Haiw about memphiz & 6guns ... I was only using memphiz as an example how, on here people tend to break the "rules" when bashing some one for doing the same thing... even though I am guilty of the same I hate it when people are blatant hypocrites. p-)
I also thing that a few memebers tend to play the "devils advocate" and no one realizes it ... & at that point the flame wars start for no reason.
