View Full Version : Eagle OD: comparison with Tag, Emdom, HSGI, ecc.

Hi,

I bought a Eagle Ciras Land version in OD, now I need some pouch(4 mag, 1 admin, 1 Hydration, 2 utility), but I don't know what's tonality of green is more similar to Eagle OD. I think Eagle fabric is dark than HSGI and tag green.

Anybody can advise me? (Eagle do not produce molle hydratation pouch, and only one kind of utility)

The new TAG Ranger Green is darker than the HSGI OD that I have in stock and darker than the Eagle that I have seen. The HSGI would be a better match if that is what you are going for.

You would have to go with an Eagle Admin, none made by HSGI.

The variety in HSGI and TAG pouches is really good.

Both the diamond back tactical's hydration pouch and Blackchicken hydration pouch in OD green are very simliar, it is good for combat, may not be for beauty contest.

Eagle does make a hyrdation pouch, they are a bit expensive. they also have the new LE hydration pouch in black and OD.. it is cheaper and a great design with velcro attached to the hydration pouch for all types of ID patches.

What about the Eagle liscenced TAG designs -- do those use the exact same in-house TAG fabrics, or are they color matched with the Eagle?

Different shades of green would probide some contrast, and thus better concealment than a unifrom green rig.

Yes, but I used some BH Strike pouch (the tonality is very dak) on a HSGI weesatch, the visive inmpact was horrible! :)


Thanks guys for your Help, I think to buy some HSGI Pouch.

HSGI Chest Rig hydro carriers actually have two reservoir hangers in them.

Lighten up the BH pouches then...

I have a Strike Vest that I never used...thought I would, but it sat in the closet for two years. I did use the map pouch a LOT though with the Dana back pack...the pouch stands out against the darker MUCH less used (and never washed) Strike vest..
