Opeartion Flashpoint or Desert Combat?

I personally like OFP a lot better than DC.

Cons of DC

1)Most of the fixed wing aircraft aern't very good unless you've played the game a lot.

2) It isn't too difficult to destroy APCs with hand greandes

3) The M-16 and AK-47 in DC is really weak. It takes like half a magazine to kill someone.

4) There are no selective fire settings for your assault rifles in DC.

5) When humvees drive into tanks it badly damages the tanks.

6) If you drive into a fence with a tank it will damage the tank.

7) OFP has a lot of good plots for its campaigns, DC doesn't have campaigns.

8) Less infantry types in DC.

9) The rockets curve too much in DC making it hard to hit targets.

10) DC doesn't take into account damage like a tank no matter where it is hit will always take four cannon rounds.

11)OFP seems be less of a kid's game, DC's controls are pretty simple.

12) Whenever you fire a rifle in DC you fire it from your waist.

13) A lot of the infantry in DC don't carry rifles but instead carry some other kind of weapon making it unrealistic.

14) RPGs fired at infantry are useless in DC.

15) None of the missiles in DC are guided.

16) Its too easy to shoot down fixed wing aircraft in DC, all you need is a machine gun to shoot one down.

17) The cars, tanks, ships, and APCs only have a few crew roles, for example the M1 has only two positions even though in real life it has four crew members.

Cons of OFP

1) You stand in a weird position when you fire weapons.

2) You run faster with a weapon than with out one.

I know there just games but thats just my .02 cents.

OFP is boring and I dont have time to spend 3h in front of the monitor. So 15min DC equals 3h OFP.

Did you play AA:O? (www.americasarmy.com) realistic recolil only humans play up to 32(!) reload take so damn long (like in real) 1 hit in head you dead 1 hit in torso you almost dead 9 hits in hand you still alive :-) lot of stuff M16 M4 AK AKM AKSU M24 M82 Bragunov Mosin Vintorez RPG M249 m203:-) and loot more stuff and a lot more would come!!

is lacking, but I guess that will be fixed in OFP 2. And one great thing about
OFP is all the mods, such as this:

Yep, no one's beaten OFP in my books yet.

The game manages to portray infantry combat really well, not to mention that the realism factor as a whole is quite impressive too.

Of course some people might consider the graphics on OFP a bit outdated, but to a fan of SPMBT and SPWAW it's not really a problem.

^yes that s what it makes so good and never boring . You can do whatever you want in just one game, using tanks , helicopters planes, parachutes just amazing . And the graphics with resistance is better then.

I don t like games like Desert storm 2 or Medal of honor , although they have better graphic, you cannot go wherever you want .

OFP is also good for playing against the PC while never getting bored.
I never played a game for so long over 2 years now.

Yeah, I agree on those "bugs" in the game, they've also upset me quite alot.

One of the most unforgivable ones was the thing that you could reload the LAW (!) and in one of the mission-packs the Carl Gustav was a "one-shot only" weapon...
