Mine is for sale (will ship from Boston, MA). JAC DX with Asahi DVSCON unit. You'll need an external CO2 rig. Message me if your serious about purchasing:

It is $800. Reason being 1) it is a JAC DX version and 2) the L2A2 is real British Army issue (the Tritium has been removed). It is in excellent condition and has been stored in it's original box with manuals. It is very much a collectors item and I would NOT suggest using it in the field.

I would have figured someone would have made a mass produced version of the FAL by now. When you consider the popularity of other battle rifles such as the G3 and M14.

I'd hit that sh*t. A nice FN FAL PARA CONGO WTF LOL Carbine would be a neat little rifle.

And then some company would make an FNC/AK5 conversion kit and every Belgian and Swedish airsofter would make peepee in his pants. Can't wait p-)

If I could get an Izzy FAL bush carbine I'd be a happy happy hippo.
Too bad it'll never happen. The Japanese apparrently have horrible taste in guns. Just watch anime.

Nice JAC for sure - they are awesome models. Just a few questions tho - you state above that it's the DX version - do you know what the differences in the standard and DX versions were? It's just that you point out it's a DX but...that's it.
Is the L2A2 optional - or comes with the package?
You've got an aftermarket external hose attached in one picture - is this yours? Did you replace it? Do you have the original hose? (Yes I know it's crappy).
Are you the first owner? How many rounds have you fired thru it? Is there any corrosion on the metal parts? (I know this rifle to be at least well over 10~15 yrs old)
How many mags do you have for it? What gases did you run thru it, or do you know to have run thru it prior to sale? (Propane, 'Green Gas', CO2, Air, FREON 12, 134a, 22, etc...)

Nice looking rifle..... I hate to rain on the parade, but I only paid about $900 to have my real STG58 built. None of these rifles cost more than that. I built the AK myself for about $200. Nothing like the real thing. Can a person build there own airsoft gun from a kit or demill?

I'm not sure, but the last I checked it was illegal to shoot real steel at other people. You might want to check with your local laws before skirmishing with your real steel.
Oh and let me know when you show up to games so that the rest of us don't. Don't forget - keep your goggles on!
BTW - Yes - a person CAN build an Airsoft rifle from a kit or spare parts - i've built my last 4 guns that way. Howz about dat eh?
I think you paid way too much for that AK - for $200 you could get 4 these days...with ammo thrown in!

No harm done...I don't shoot other people with "real steel" (lead). I simply wanted to know if you could build your own airsoft for less than $2500. Please show me were one can get an AK....4 AK's for $200?.... You play with your toys and I'll play with mine.

The DX version somes with an Asahi DVSCON (Double Valve Semi-Auto Control) unit, where the STD came with a JAC Full Auto unit. DVSCON is a far better system which allows semi-auto. The magazine is a high cap, 60 rds, STD had only 30 rds. The inner barrel is metal, as opposed to plastic.
The hose is original and not an aftermarket. Everthing on it is original (box, manuals, etc) except the receiver cover which has the L2A2 mount. I am the original owner and has a grand total of 60 (1 magazine) rounds fired through it when originally purchased it around the late 90's at the old MGC Bondshop in Shinjiku. The L2A2 was mounted by MGC Bondshop. I used orginal Freon Gas using the JAC Power Booster set, which I no longer own. Hence, I can't test it. It has never been shot with CO2, Propane, etc. It has been used as a display piece since I purchased it. I know for a fact that you will need to replace the hose if you want to run it using CO2; the vavle is made for the JAC Power Booster set.
The external metal parts are perfect. I can't speak for the interals; I have given the barrel, hose, and the air-cut assembly a spray of silicone every few months as shown on the instruction manual. I have no other spare magazines; occasionally a local store back home will have them in stock. As a display/collector piece, it is perfect with no flaws. If you plan to use it to "play" with, I would suggest passing on it.

I agree with you that fire arms are fun to own and collect. However, collecting airsoft is analgous to collecting toys...airsoft are not firearms and you can't really compare the 2 in terms of value. The JAC Enfield L1A1 is expensive because it is a very rare toy.
As for modifying a firearm to airsoft, it can be done, and done often, but it is very very time consuming. I did convert a LMT Defender lower to hold a version 2 gear box and an airsoft upper. It took over 7 months on the lathe and lots of mig/tig welding to get it to fit. Again, I ended up with a very rare toy gun that I'm sure can be sold for much much more than the original Defender lower.
I hope this makes sense... :)

Definately worth the $800 for sure - as you said - it is a collector piece in the condition it's in, and I would certainly game with it. I should have bought that one instead of the JAC AR18 at the time...I was swayed away because of the issues with the STD version. I believe the Asahi DVSCON is in all the FNC's too.
What's this about PLASTIC inner barrels? Every JAC i've owned and seen, even the EXPORT versions, all came with brass inner barrels.
What other 'classics' have you owned/currently own?
Also on your last post - wasn't there a huge issue about the ASAHI M40 rifle being able to be convered to shoot live ammo? For those crazy enought to do so mind you - but the possibility existed.

Yes, Asahi units are typically put into Asahi models, but not many into JAC (I am aware of the story between the two). I know the JAC M653 also has a Asahi unit inside. Also, yes, the L1A1 STD came with plastic inner barrels.
I currently own several (been collecting toy guns for about 20 years now). Anything from Matsudaya 7mm's, Yonezawa, New MGC, MGC Bond Shop, etc...I did recently move to North America and sold off all of my JAC Full Auto series, WA's, Kokusai Superweapon Series, and Asahi's. The only one I kept were the JAC L1A1 (which I'm selling) and the Asahi AWSM (they claim only 50 made...I actually think they made more).
There's acutally several versions of the Asahi M40A1. The one that was "recalled" used shell casings that folks believed might be able to fire live ammunition. Having actually seen this version (never owned one), I HIGHLY doubt it was possible.

Ludicrous opportunities are hard to pass up, aren't they? Did you purchase an Audi or Mercedes or both, or just add another mattress of cash? Just teasing...I find it surprising that you didn't keep an ASAHI at least. The L1A1 is certainly a classic worth keeping.

Thanks for clearing that up - it was hard to get validation of that, especially now on the internet.

I did want to keep everything but just needed to get rid of my things for the long move. I did keep my Asahi AWSM.
