Id imagine they feel the same way that US forces did when Slick Willy yanked them out of Somalia....Like ****...like their is still a job to be done.
Its a shame they wont stay (unless the UN approves a mission, then they apparently will be staying), but with or without, we will get the job done.
Alot more countries are starting to rotate troops in, as well as medical personel and reconstruction teams...so in the long run it will have some impact but not too much.
Also the Marines are ready to head back, and they are bringing alot of new toys with them that will make their mission safer and more effective.

Whats funny is Spain just voted in a new government that will pull their troops out of Iraq and become "neutral."
Airborne249's guess is right. They're pissed off because they are quite proud of their role in Irak. Despite what figures say, the Spanish brigade has been able to keep peaceful its Area of Responsability and its main task has been to help in the rebuild of the country.
The main problems now are:
* If Zapatero does what he promised long before March 11th and brings back the troops, everyone will consider that Spanish government is acting afraid of Al Qaeda.
* If Spain brings back the troops, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador and República Dominicana won't have the Spanish logistic support and they will be forced to bring their troops back also. One of the Multinational Division's three brigades will disband.
* The troops currently in Irak will come back home next April, and the Defense Ministry will spend a lot of money to send there the Plus Ultra III brigade just for a couple of months. The alternative could be keep the soldiers there for two and half unexpected months. This won't make happy them.
* Prime Minister (President of the Government, as we say in Spain) Zapatero could change his mind. Romanian and Polish governments have asked him for. He could face the public opinion saying that keeping his word would send the wrong message to Al Qaeda.
To be continued...
The account of dead Spaniards in Irak is as follows: One Navy officier on liasion duties died in the bomb attack to the UN compound. Eight Air Force's and Army officers and NCOs working for the CNI (Spanish CIA) were killed in two different attacks. One soldier died in a accident. And one Civi Guard officer was killed by smugglers in a police raid. Although no soldier has died in any ambush, attack or clash with the so called "Iraqi Resistence".
