Anyone know where I can find a store in the destin, ft. walton, pensacola area of florida for tactical gear? doesn't seem like I can find a decent place in the panhandle. really looking for a place with 3-day packs and stuff like that. Figured with Hurlburt being near here there HAS to be one. Any help much appreciated...

No, I don't. There's a gunstore called PoBoys that's somewhere in Marianna, FL. That sells a small amount of tactical gear. I'm sure there's got to be one in the Pensacola area, but I haven't been down there in a while, so I wouldn't know for sure. One thing's for sure, don't try to buy a gun from the Bass Pro Shop in Destin though. It's like trying to get a mortgage. I was trying to buy a Benelli Nova 20GA for my wife, and they wouldn't sell it to us because the address on our driver's licenses didn't match the current address listed on the 4473. They said it was against the "law". Stupid woman didn't know the federal gun laws, but was selling guns. It didn't matter that the background check went though just fine, only that the address' weren't the same.:bash:

yeah, bass pro shops just get a visit from me for hunting gear and fishing tackle. leave my gun purchasing to the guns & ammo type stores. hope you still got that benelli from somewhere though!

Nope, never got it. Had to come over here, so I'll try to get one when I get home.

If there's a gear queer shop in Pensacola area, I have not found it yet. I've been to one army/navy store down here, and it was nothing to write home about.

There is an Airbase in that area, check out the post exchange on base.
