Just wanted to leave this link here for those that are interested. This program looks pretty cool. I hope someone out there will torrent it. But either way check it out, if you get the chance.

This documentary was very gut wrenching, especially in terms of the surgeries and the graphic nature of hospital setting, but at the same time was incredibly heart breaking.
In one of the opening scenes 2 soldiers are brought into the hospital, one is wounded, the other one is in incredible shock; physically shaking and not knowing 100% where he is, when he talks about the IED that struck his humvee, and how he looked over at his friend and realized he was dead, he breaks down into tears. The other soldier puts up a much tougher front, dealing with his present wounds he is awarded a purple heart that he states he doesn't want, after talking about the accident with the other soldier involved, the two of them both cry together in beds next to eachother.
I watched this scene with a group of soldiers, and there were a few dry eyes in the house, but even they were unable to watch the TV screen for many emotional scenes.
Somewhere in between adult soldiers calling their mothers and wives to let them know they almost died today, and an Iraqi soldier's leg being sawn off, you begin to question the nature of war itself and the price soldiers have to pay to appease paper pushing policy makers who will never set foot in a red zone, or many even a green zone.
This documentary angered me, made me extremely emotional, but most of all, it informed me.
I think it's important for documentaries like this to come out, but most won't watch it, most people don't want to think about the sacrifices people are making overseas, most people, would rather sit on their couch at night and phone in 10 times so they can vote for an American idol competition, like it matters at all, when there are soldiers all over the world dying, and losing legs, arms, fingers and their lives.
It sickens me when people call this documentary unpatriotic or "too graphic", these are peoples real lives, if anything it wasn't graphic enough and if declaring that all wars are inherently pointless is unpatriotic, then this documentary is unpatriotic.
SEE IT.
