Would someone know what "NRS" is the abbreviation of (something "razvedchika"?)? Also, when was it introduced? I gather around 1983, but would like to know for sure. Is it still in production? If not, when did it cease? Thanks!

Cheers

Nozh Razvedchika Strelyayuschiy 2 (Нож Разведчика Стреляющий) - Knife, Recon, Shooting, [model] 2. Adopted by the Russian forces in 1986, still in service as far as I know.

RomanS on this board has some good pictures of the NRS-2, he and another member here had a chance to shoot it so ask him if you want any more information.
