God what a terrible topic name.

I was wondering if any of you guys had any pictures of Russian "troops" (what's a better word) like, basically anyone employed by the government and uses a gun, using "unique" weapons. I want "on the job" pictures, doesn't have to necessarily be in a combat area, but it can't be a photo shoot or training.

By "unique weapons" I mean man portable and something you don't see often. Examples of things that aren't special enough to be posted in this thread are guys using are (the trend will be the basic model, and that means none of that or its upgrades or variants, that means when I say no AK-74, I don't want to see AKS-74's, AK-74M's, or AKS-74M's either): No AK-74's, AKS-74U, AK-47, Makarov, AS Val, VSS Vintorez, PKM, RPK, RPK-74, SVD, or SVU. None of those.

If the picture has a gun that isn't one of those and is reasonably modern, and fits the other criteria (being used "on duty" by a person employed by the government of the Russian Federation, and isn't training or a photo shoot) then please post it! Examples of stuff I want to see are: AN-94, AK-100 series, pistols, submachine guns, SV-98, Saiga shotgun, RPG-29, anything not on the other list!

I look forward eagerly to anyone who has good pictures to share! :hug:

What do you need it for? I might help you if you are serious.

Well I don't really need it, but I am extremely interested and have been wanting to "collect" ones that I find, and I figure the best place to go would be here and ask if people have any.

I was hoping one of you guys had some that you knew of or something. When I was searching the forum before I made this thread I saw one of the threads you made with pictures of people you know serving in Chechnya, and saw some Pecheneg's, and thought that was cool. So I was just hoping that if I asked out in the open and out front there would be people willing to share. :)

I don't know if this is training or actual work, probably is training, but it's the closest thing I could get to the APS Underwater Assault Rifle.

In case you didn't get a good look at the actual rifle;

The reason as to why the magazine is so massive:

underwater cartridges, left to right:
7.62x39 M43 cartridge for scale;
4.5mm SPS cartridge case and bullet;
4.5mm SPS dummy cartridge;
5.66mm MPS dummy cartridge

Hope it helps.

Interesting fact number 11732... Wojsko Polskie, has posted a picture of the APS underwater assault rifle and a picture of its ammo, but did you know that in addition to standard "ball" ammo you can also get tracer ammo for this weapon... :)
