THE widow of murdered banker Alistair Wilson is to make an emotional appearance on ITV's This Morning show.

Almost 18 months on from the brutal slaying of her husband at their home in Nairn, Veronica Wilson will open her heart to presenters Fern Britton and Phillip Schofield.

And she will use her appearance as an opportunity to say thank you to the charity Winston's Wish, which supports and helps grieving and bereaved children and their families.

Father-of-two Alistair, 30, was shot with a pistol at point-blank range on his own doorstep at 7.15pm on November 28, 2004.

Police have been unable to trace his killer and the motive for the murder remains a mystery.

Last night Veronica, 33, said: "The charity approached me just the other day about appearing on the programme.

"I agreed immediately as they do a fine job.

"We were fortunate enough to spend a weekend with Winston's Wish.

"I had no qualms about supporting them on live television."

Nothing to see here.

Move along.

There is no gun crime in the U.K., they have gun control after all.
