How Do We Deal with Sixgun?

Recent multiple posts under multiple accounts that are racist, homophobic and xenophobic by Sixgun has taken militaryphotos.net to a new low. At first I ignored him. Then I questioned his sanity. When he was banned, I let out a sigh of relief. Now he's back and worse than ever. Aside from being a nut case, the man has no pride and insists on making his presence known. He is probably getting more attention here than he has his entire life.

Obviously, he is intent on being a flaming a**hole no matter what the moderators do or say. It seems whatever asylum he is a patient in can't control his access to a computer. It has nothing to do with having a conservative viewpoint as some here think, but it is his bigotry and mass-posting on idiotic subjects that is making turning militaryphotos.net into a forum for neo-Nazis.

Perhaps the forum as a group can do something to negate his blatant disregard for the rules. I would suggest the following:

1) As soon as a moderator ascertains that a post has been started under one of Sixgun's many alias, lock it down, better yet, delete it!

2) Ignore his postings; however, he will then start a schizoid conversation with himself using his different accounts. Don't feed the troll! Ignore his rants regardless of how ridiculous they are.

3) Do the same for some of his young admirers who have taken on his characteristics and are also breaking the rules.

Any other suggestions? Or is there anyone still out there who still thinks Sixgun really has anything worthwhile reading? If so, I suggest you read his latest racist outbursts.

The main problem is that the POS coward is using an IP server, enabling him to use new IPs all the time, which makes it pretty much impossible to give him a permanent ban.

Suggestion 4) Find out what his ISP is and get his acces suspended... shouldn't be too hard when you show 'em some of the stuff he's been posting here. :roll:

Suggestion 5) Make him a martyr in the war against terror, by sending him to Teheran with an American flag over his head and a sign 'DIE IRAN!!' taped to his hand.

Breaks as many forum rules in a day as many of us would in a year even Musto has yet to come close, I think his hate filled rhetoric is getting more extreme and his increasing bravado is luring other worms from the woodwork. So far he has called me commie when in the guise of IsdatU he has also called another member a commie Jew, OK these are only descriptive but hell this is all a bit much, I have got carried away in an argument on this site but it is every post with this guy. Perhaps we could have a sticky on the main page called "Known Disguises of Sixgun" an in it you could list the different usernames that he is operating under. This would enable other forum members to completely ignore the posts made by him in any topic.

To take this to a further degree, you could arm Mods with the power to delete any post made by Sixgun whenever they appear without any prior warning to him. He does not deserve a warning.

To take this into Sixgun logic, he is essentially a "Forum Terrorist" and his actions are harming those innocent people using these boards for the purpose they were made. I agree. If you want to ban him for repeated violation of the forum rules, fine. I would expect the same standard to be applied evenly though. Please don't do it because of the views he's expressed. He's a fringe nut job without question but if we're banning people because some forum members find what they say objectionable then I think there's a long line in front of Sixgun waiting to get canked.

I don't care about his opinions, but he has made a multitude of other accounts. That's openly breaking the rules. My guess is he's using a proxy. You can clear out his whole subnet, but a bunch of other people living in his area might get banned too. Now, in order to "silence" Sixgun, you need to find out what proxy he may be using and bar that off.

Or, you can find out a way to get him to leave... voluntarily.

Good point. Sixgun's hate is so encompassing, there isn't anyone left for him to relate to, which probably makes for a very lonely existence, and is probably why he spends so much time on the Internet making a fool of himself.

Like it or not, agree with it or not, this is not a democracy; if Hood gives someone the boot, than we should respect it. I don't think Sixgun's beliefs had much to do with his being banned so much as his methods. Hood has gone out of his way to not suppress anyone's ideas and beliefs, so he probably deserves the benefit of the doubt here that he actually has a good reason for his decision here. That's what it sure seems like, at least. I don't mean to offend anyone with any of this, not even Sixgun. It's simply stating logic. Have a good one all, and just some thoughts...

no, that's gerhard reinke, from the show "wanderlust". it's on comedy central. it's a travel show thats really funny. and in that particular episode he went to venice beach california, and he thought he had to look hip and stylish, so he wore a speedo, tank top, and got a fake moustcahe and clip on pony tail and roller bladed around....i guess you gotta see it, to think it's funny. anyway, it's an amazing show.

I've disabled (effectively) new account creation until I can fix up the database screwyness and get email verification going again. He won't be coming back any time soon.

Well sorry to say it, but it is easy to create new acount... it takes only 5 min to find some free e-mail MSN,Yahoo,Hotmail,WP,Onet,etc... also some ppl have variable IP (like me) so it is hard to block them
