It is a good thing to know some people value memorial day for what it is, allot of people dont give two shytes.

least that is what I gathered, I am Canadian, but I talk to americans 8hrs of a day and I had so many of them say "So you ready to party memorial day?" lol to me, and im thinkin .. isnt memorial a day of rememberance?
