I was just watching The O'Reilly Faactor and he threw out an interesting tidbit from Col. David Hunt, guy I've found to be extremely credible and accurate in his sources through Spec Ops channels. Col. Hunt said to O'Reilly that Zawahiri is already dead, and that he was killed during a gun battle between Pakistani Spec Ops and operators from TF 121. He says all the Pakistanii government is waiting on now is DNA evidence confirming it is Zawahiri's corpse they have.

I dunno, take this for what it's worth, might just be speculation, but from my perception of Col. Hunt, he wouldn't throw out speculation of something as big as this if hthere wasn't ample evidence to back him up. It does make sense in that wh would the Pakistani govenrnment set itself up for the chance that Zawahiri would slip away after announcing to the world that he is cornered. Would be a huge embarrassment if it turned out they missed him. I don't think that Musharraf would announce this to the media if it wasn't already a done deal.

It would be interesting to see who gets credit for the kill if this is true.

On the one hand you have spec ops from a mulsim republic. Would send the message that even muslims aren't taking this terrorist **** anymore.

if it's the Americans who get the glory....eh, f*ck it, they already hate us. Killing their top Lt. will only add fuel to the flames.

Oreily used to be good when he directed OBJECTIVE CRITICISM at people who deserved it. Now he merely searches for reasons to argue with people... a prime characteristic of a douche bag.

Another thing, I keep hering stuff about US advisors helping on the greound in Pakistan in this battle. Sounds fishy to me, anyone doubt its TF 121? Of course nobody officially will say this though.

I believe that TF121 is undoubtably involved...

I think that US SOF just have technology that the pakistanis dont have, that will daramtically decrease the chance of them slipping into the dark.

Big time, the col. can be off his ass at times.

Anyone hear about these airstrikes that would be happening at day break against this fort? Interesting that they didnt say if it was gonna be helicopter of plane, OR Pakistani or American strikes...they just said 'airstrikes'
