View Full Version : The fight is on in Afghanistan

Well, I can't go into details, but suffice it to say that we do have someone major in a firefight in Afghanistan. Usually, our fights result in ACM KIAs or the ACMs retreating. These guys have stayed and put up a fight. We actually have firefights going in two areas. The CJTF-180 brief this morning was fairly intense. Those guys are getting no sleep right now.

Any info if there are any coalition soldiers or SOFs involved?

Plenty of ODAs involved. Yesterday's post about the casualties was correct. An e-5 and an E-6 were killed and two more wounded.

A whole lot of going to whisper on Chat, too.

Do you guys think the news of Zawahiri's imminent capture may have pissed off the scumbag terrorists to the point that they have become irrational and are standing up to US forces not fighting like cowards for a change?

No, we are fighting well-trained individuals. The style is the hallmark of AQ fighters. The Pakistanis have done a fine job of hammering the AQ and Taliban into the coalitions' anvil on the border.

Unfortunately, I can't get straight info from the Pakistanis. Know that the Pakistani fight isn't the only one going on right now.
