yep, this are Rafale M, Super Etendard and E2C Hawkeye on the last pic
the shot has been taken at Toulon the 07/01/2002
it was the return of the Task Force 473 from "operation Heracles" , after a deployment of seven months in the Indian Ocean off Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom)

an other pic of Rafale M aboard Charles De Gaulle :

Man, that is an impressive aircraft. I heard the French AirForce had changed their order to only the two seat varient to provide a better multi-role capability. Do any of you know if that is true or not?

the requirement of French Navy hasn't changed, it is of 35 Rafale N (two seats) and 25 Rafale M

now maybe it will change for the second aircraft carrier

for the Airforce, the requirement is 139 Rafale B (two seats) and 95 Rafale C

Okay, maybe I misheard. Perhaps it said MOST of the airforce order was changed to 2 seat.

Regardless, Dassault is still a major player in fighter aircraft.

The 3 Hawkeyes in French Navy service are called E2-F, not E2-C. The last one has been delivered about three weeks ago.
