19. März 2004 Ein versuchter Bankraub mit Geiselnahme in einer Duisburger Bankfiliale ist am Freitag nach knapp vier Stunden unblutig zu Ende gegangen. Die Polizei konnte gegen Mittag zwei Geiseln unverletzt befreien. Dem Täter gelang allerdings zuvor unerkannt die Flucht. Möglicherweise hält er weiter eine Geisel in seiner Gewalt. Am Mittag hatte ein Mann bei der im benachbarten Krefeld angekündigt, er wolle sich mit einer Geisel stellen. Bis zum Nachmittag hat die Polizei aber noch keinen Erfolg vermelden können.

19. March. 2004. A bank robbery with taking of hostage in a bank in the city of Duisburg ends after 4 hours without casulities. The Police rescued two unharmed hostages. The robber could escape. He still has a hostage in his grip. On midday he contacted a firedepartment in the city of Krefeld and announced that he will let the hostage free and surrender. Until the afternoon no success said the Police.

Rantanplan: I doubt that it's the SG1 (http://www.misklin.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/misklin/G3SG1all.jpg) (Schuetzen-Gewehr). No scope, regular pistol grip and shortened stock as you noted. It does have the folded bi-pods though.....

The SG1 also has a regular pistol grip, it's the trigger group that's different (The trigger can be set.) ;). It also has the basic G3 furniture. As for the G3 in the photo, I'd put my money on it being a KA4, as I doubt purchasing a SG1 and changing it's match barrel (and furniture) for a regular wouldn't make much sense, et cetera.
