Half of that stuff was fake. Any country could make the same video doing the same stunts, they could say its real as well. The glass part for instance? Look at an action movie where someone has to run across a glass floor in bare feet, looks real doesn't it? Is there any sign of evidence that they didn't do that with this movie? These are just two examples I caught, I don't have enough time to go over everything.

It seems that Kim Jong Il has seen way too many Bruce Lee movies (he owns over 20,000 movies in a collection) and has tried to get his goons to copy them. Half of that stuff is fake as hell.
Did anyone see that dog run under the tank? It seems that they picked that one up from the Soviets.

It's a great movie, they should do this professional ;)
looks like the korean army is investing much in the education of their men, because they only have pistols... Great scene were the unarmed combat divers arrives on the beach and beats 5 enemies with guns.

Oh yeah! brave antitank dogs are back again!! This idiotic idea was used by red army during WW2. As you can guess - the dogs cannot distinguish enemy and friendly tanks with eyes or something else than a smell. And rarely a russian or north korean dog has a chance to smell enemy tanks during the training. The result was: Some of the bravest dogs who didnt run from the battlefield were attacking only soviet tanks!!

The guy beating up the truckdriver is highspeed, fighting like crazy and not even loosing his cap...or maybe itīs glued on :)
North Korea is so freakish, thatīs some serious martial arts there, respect but Iīm pretty convinced the technological gap is too large to be a real adversary for a modern army and to top it all NKīs economy could by no means sustain a longer campaign if there is famine even in times of peace.

This is a typical propaganda like: "may be we do not have the best stuff but look our peple are the best".
The problem for americans and south koreanians is that Kim Jong Il have some between 100.000 to 200.000 such commandos. They represent real power with ability to survivallance on enemy territory and making autonomous combat action and no fear in taking suicide missions. Even pistols in their hands could be leathal weapon. The next thing is their fanatism, well paid in such poor country like NK. They are the best feed part of NK's society. Look, countries like NK never are worried about number of casualities contrary to US or other western, developed countries.
I wouldn't underestimate NK's soldirers. The war against them would be propably as bloody as eastern front during WW2 or much more...

That glass is most likely made of suggar, it's a movie resource, is doesn't cut nor it stabs like real life glass.
HAH!!!!!! I knew it!!!! The have a whole "Jackie Chans" battalion!!!!!! ZOMG North Korea Strong!!!!
But they do know how to make cool stunt, they would make lots of money if they explored this ability. Exporting stunts doubles to US.

I pulled 4 tours in Korea, with 3 on the DMZ. I found out that I could get decent TV reception fron NK, and being a Ham Radio operator knew how to make a better TV antenna for there channel. I made one, and use to spend some spare time on the weekends watching programs like that. Lots of propaganda for there own people. Most of the programs were so fake, it was like watching Cartoons :)
Lots of great memories of the guys I served with there, and seeing South Korea rise from a war torn country, to a Financial Power in Asia.

Btw., is the Japanese dubbing a 'faithful' translation or a comment? (Sounds like the commentator doesn't take the translation too seriously) Would be interesting to know just for the sake of it p-)

Actually, I thought the pistol skills were impressive. From what I've heard, Kim Jong Il himself is pretty good with one.
I would not want to fight against either the South or the North Koreans, and I think anyone who thinks they'd be pushovers would be in for a nasty surprise.

I don't think anyone here believes they would be pushovers... just that hammering nails in with your head and breaking sh*t with certain parts of your body won't really help your country win a war.

LOL... I love that NK stuff. Makes me thank god they spend so much time on theatre and not actually training in real tactics. I guess the biggest threat is the fact that their soldiers "think" they are good, which gives them somewhat of a mental edge. Maybe. :)

holy sheit, most of those punches and kicks dont even connect and yet they still fall down. me thinks if north korea wants to scare people with fake action sequences then atleast make them LOOK real.
