Good shots, bro!
Why is the jeep called a SUFA****? Those last 4 letters....
Keep em' coming!

sufa**** is the non-armored, bordr patrol vesrion of the M240 "Sufa" (storm) jeep. the last four letter has nothing to do with human waste - it's just a part of some IDF acronym.

let s say that I would`nt mind a M4a1 with a trijicon, even if i would nt have any use of it  , But the m16a1, or at least all of the ones I was issued, had this tendency to jamm every 6 or 7 cartridges, wich is a kind of feeble in term of confidence building :backhand:

First of all great pics :D (and I like your other thread pics as well...both of them ;) )
As for the above statement, well what can I say, I mean in "milluim" you got issued an old m16a1 and perhaps it jammed as you said it did (though I would love to see if you guys ever did any cleaning on it ;) ), though in general, most front line combat infantry troops are issued the CAR15, M4 etc..and those don’t jam as often as you say and also have a lot of good features and advantages that make them to be preferred amongst most front line combat soldiers over the type of weapons that you listed above.
Plus even the M16a1 models as well as the M16a2 (or “a shalosh”) shouldn’t be as bad as you say, I know for I too have experience with them (in tironut and in some other cases) and they didn’t jam as often as you said they did with you.
Though I will admit that cleaning it as often as you need to as opposed to what a galil or a "kalatch" needs is a bit of a disadvantage over the weapons that you listed above, though on the other hand it is balanced by some of the advantages that I feel make it a superior weapon….at least in my personal opinion (as is also backed up by most in front line troops in the IDF that prefer it as well).
Btw if your naming Israeli weapons like the Galil or Gililon over the m16, you might as well throw in the better one..the Tavor…perhaps there you might have a point ;) :D
Anyways again good pics…..just curious, where exactly is your “kav” in those pics?
Shalom :D

OK OK, i sometimes loose my temper with the m16, and i don`t give it the justice it deserve.
As most american troops equipement, it is not outstanding but good on the overall, and i appreciate it`s accuracy, but as a first line or even just "police" weapon (i say that because the patrols and checkpoints I ve seen so far are more some kind of static police job than military one)
it` s far from adapted, where a shorter and sturdier weapon should be issued.
I m aware of the budgetary constraint, and the fact the every serious unit is issued either the CAR15 or the M4, i understand also that the m16 s i `ve been issued were old vets thatt shot more than a million ammos each, still.
I two weeks from now, I m going to visit our nice and peacefull palestinian neighbours and going to have to bug those willing to travel further than a km around their village, and i` gonna have to take care of not getting blown up to pieces by a kid, or not shooting a kid by mistake, o because i was tired, or because it was not his or my day, or anithing, so on top of those worries, i don`t need to wonder if my riffle is going to jamm while i need him.
As for cleaning, people in my unit used ot make fun of me, because i would clean it completely after everysingle patrol, as well as my MAG every 24 hours.
I have those old reflexes not fitting the regular miluimnik, i clean my gun, keep my shoes from looking too bad and keep the smoking and light discipline while on patrol.

Ok listen, no one and certainly not me is going to tell you that a M16, CAR15 or a M4 are perfect weapons, for they are not, I will even tell you that I will never forget in “kav Psagot” (by Ramallah), there was constant shootings and firefights at us (and we returned the favor ;) ) and one time my weapon (CAR15/M203) jammed in middle, now thank god at that situation we were behind fortifications (sand bags, concrete blocks etc…) and as such after a quick fix it worked fine, though that always stock with me from then on….so yes I know what you mean but I just feel that they are better then the weapons that you listed before for again they don’t jam as much as you say (that one jamming was the only time for me in a combat situation) and with proper cleaning you shouldn’t be worried about it.
I will say though that yes the constant cleaning of the weapon is taxing and it is a disadvantage over a Galil or a kaltach that doesn’t need the same amount of cleaning, though the light weight, the ability (and ease of it and simplicity) to add all sorts of optics and sights and other types of attachments, and its better accuracy make it a much preferred weapon over the ones you listed even though it does have its disadvantages.

 היינו ארבה I hope I got it right for I believe ארבה is spelled with a “eyin” instead of a “alaph” though I can be wrong.
Anyways if that was your kav then don’t worry buddy about your m16, in fact I am not sure you need to worry about any weapon at all if you no what I mean p-) ….there, I would be most worried about is the heat or the bugs or the etc…….but the jamming of my weapon wont be the first thing in my mind, even if you didn’t clean your weapon ;)
Anyways I am just kidding around  for your next kav seems a little more serious and as such you make valid points though all I can say is that you shouldn’t judge the weapons that you get in millium for they are quite old (not to mention you didn’t get to use any CAR15’s or any M4’s) and a lot of them are the older versions and as such you need to understand that before you make any judgments on the overall quality of these types of weapons.
Shabbat Shalom :D
