The US also sends fighters to train here annually. Army & Marine units also come to Canadian training areas for some exercises. Just like Canadian units can train in the US.

USMC was also at Gagetown for the trials of the new sniper rifles the CF is (was?) looking at. Saw a convoy of trucks hauling tanks last summer out east of here, looked pretty impressive.

Is there a Hi-Res of the pic?

Its called cross training. Like in Suffield when the Brits, Canadians and Americans train together.

thats cool, no HI-res pic, sorry i got it from a news sight. and also the summer before last when me and my family were driving back from winnipeg we saw the train and it was hauling tanks, jeeps, LAV's etc, it was cool i think i might have a pic. and about 2 weeks ago i was driving between Leduc and Red deer when i saw this convoy of five blacked out GMC Suberbans going about 150KM/hr down the highway, they had little blue and red lights flashing on the dashboard, i just thought that was cool.

Its called cross training. Like in Suffield when the Brits, Canadians and Americans train together. This is true too. In addition to US & Brit units using Canadian trainng areas to conduct thier own training, cross training frequently occurs at many levels (and can include participation from NATO, Caribean, Eastern Europeran, and many other countries). Cross training may be a joint exercise of foreign & Canadian units, or just individuals participating in Canadian Trg.
