Israel should draw its final borders with Lebanon as it has done with Egypt and Jordan, and all nations supporting the PA terror regime would be better off supporting this nation which actually has some sort of potential to be a free country. Though..

Would you talk to Israel directly about this?

No. We do not have any diplomatic relations with Israel.

Ridiculous Hamas-like rhetoric that leads to nowhere except stalemate. They should follow the example of Jordan and Egypt.

Agreed. The US had diplomatic relations with North Vietnam for the entire war.

How can you say you won't have a full diplomatic engagement until peace is obtained. That like saying I'm going to go to the doctor until after my cancer goes away.

I do think it's rather promising that Lebannon is opening up to help from the US.

What's ironic is that up untill the outbreak of the Lebanese Civil War, most Israelis believed Lebanon would be the first Arab state to sign a peace treaty with Israel (certainly before Egypt).

The first question in the interview is:

The pro-Syria, anti-freedom forces are much stronger now than they were last spring before the election. Why?

And that's when I stopped reading.

because those who "claim freedom" are the same ones that were under the syrian regime stealing money and putting debt on lebanon. They were in government 10 years ago and still are.

If israel wants peace then theys hould implement all the UN resolutions. Lebanese never said they don't want peace. Return all lebanese land and prisoners and have all the peace you want.

Funny that you should mention the U.N and the "return of Lebanese land" in the same post, as according to the U.N Israel isn't holding any Lebanese land.

Also maybe you guys shoud first get your own army to stand at the border instead of the Syrian-Iranian proxy organization and then set some demands. As it seems that if we want peace with Lebanon, we need to reach peace with Syria first.

The way I see it, you guys have more to gain from peace with Israel than we have to gain from peace with Lebanon/Syria. So don't expect us to hold our breath.
