Has anyone here ever joined the Navy under the Baccalaureate Degree Completion Program?
The program is an option where college students can sign up now for the Navy but do not owe any unifrom service or time until after they graduate College. They only have to report there academic progress each semester and then after graduation they are sent to the next available OCS in Pensacola. In addition, the students get paid every month prior to OCS for up to 2 years for non-tech majors (such as me).
Anyone have any experience in this and if so what do you think about it?
I am considering this as an option to obtain a commission in the Navy. It's a competitive program to get into but I believe my grades/activities/awards will be plenty competitive to get in. Yeah I could go to a recruiter and ask but I don't want to deal with the military salesmen.
