Well we all know that California Joe has got big ass snapping turtles living in his backyard, but what kind of critters are living in yours? I've got opossums and raccoons living in mine and for the most part they're pretty good neighbors.

I didn't know they were mean. Kind of seems like it'd be a cool pet though.

I've got two flatmates, and for the most part they're pretty good neighbors. They aren't the nicest of animals either, though. But if they don't behave like a cool pet should I'll fkn teach them to.

deer, squirrels, rabbits, raccoons, oppossums, tree frogs, turtles, mice, toads, frogs, groundhogs, coyotes, foxes.... probably a lot more that I'm not thinking of right now....

WB has been exposed to his share of wildlife in his time on the farm... he even killed Thomas the Opposum (yes he named it) after we determined that he might be rabid.... the last time he was here.... he got to watch my dog break a rat's neck....

That's a hell of a lot of critters! Are they all after your sweet, tasty corn too?

well.... they aren't all around at once, but in the last 6 months I've seen all of those animals at least once.... my dog kills most animals that come in the yard, so other than disposing of their carcassas... I don't have much to worry about.... the animals do like the corn, but since I don't actually have any of my own.... I don't lose any sleep over it.... :D

The Foxes piss against your food and you get the rabid.

Someone tell me why the Foxes piss against all the food ? You can't eat any wildberries because the stupid foxes piss against them.

I eat wildberries all the time at our 'holiday house', where there's a lot of pheerous rabid foxes and all other animals pissing at them, too. And I'm all fine.. ALL FINE YARGH!!1

My yard is fenced in so only small critters get in. Rabits, coons, squirrells, some snakes and a lot of birds that piss me off with their chirping. My dog keeps them away most of the time and my cats keep away the birds.
In my neighbourhood we have alot of weird stuff like deer, coyotes, foxes, groundhogs, opposums and I think I once saw a kingfisher.

My dog killed a whole family of squirrels in a few hours.
My mum was trying to put the ones that didn't die oout of their misery by drowning them, but was crying the whole time. So I had to take over and I cut their heads off with a spade. Quick and painless.

I wonder if she even got that ;)
hahaha

What a coincidence though. As I finished my last post about having to kill those squirrells, I go to let my dog out and he jumps back as he steps out the door because he just stepped on a wounded bird. I had to bring him in the house and he was jumping at the door being held by my mum yelling at me to "Kill it! Kill it!".
It's been raining here tonight so my guess is the bird got wet and flew into our door window. I carried it off the porch and shoved it under the fence into the neighbours yard.
