What Reflex Sight will be used for the HK416?

I have seen that this is ongoing work for the HK416 to be a standard mounted sight, but I dont have any pictures or information on it.

Can anyone help me out?

Where have you seen this? Why do I feel that this will likely be a modification of the sight unit found on G36s (or the reflex only bit found on Es). That's my guess.

I am guessing it will be somewhat like the XM8 reflex sight, or the G36 one (like you already mentioned).

the pic just shows an aimpoint. could be they wont sell it with any optics. lets face it, nowadays ppl want to customize their gats, so selling it with some homemade optics is prolly not the best idea. just throw 1913 rails all over and let ppl have fun

the longer of the barrel is important for the choice of the optice with short barrel you can have Eotech 553 , Aimpoint ML3 or the ISM (sight use with the XM8)
with long barrel you can use:
- Eotech 553 , Aimpoint ML3 with magnifier
- sight with some schmidt & bender 1,1/ 4 x 20 or similar sight

From that description, yeah, sounds like some variant of the sight used with the XM8.

As much development fee that has gone into developing the XM8 sight, it has to go on something.. :)

As far as sight, why do you think HK has anything to do with what the operator or military brenches would actually deply?

EOTech 553 is now the official SOPMOD Block 2 COO sight and with the ELcan and ACOG taking up the magified side.

Well, after the US military has let down HK on the second (iirc) multi-million project now I assume their betting more on the LE horse now than on the military. I also wouldn't put too much weight on this. It's probably an optional thing.

The EOTech contract is listed in lower protion of the page. along with the same amount of optics awarded to Trijicon for the ACOG TA31 varient.
