Is it so off base? It has already happened. Look at the race riots in a particular country allegedly caused by a failure to assimilate or the murder of a prominent film director in another country based on conflicting views of freedom of speech, or the 7/7 bombings committed by citizens who live in Balkanized communities.

Seriously. He does make a point. However going from Australia's experiance, new immigrants usually take about 3 generations to integrate into the culture/society of their new nation.

1st generation are your hardworking immigrants.

2nd generation is the one that causes problems because of being born in Australia but not having an english speaking home.

3rd generation are the ones who grow up in a english speaking home and are better equiped to deal with intergration.
