Soldiers of the Presidential Regiment carry medals at the opening of an awards ceremony in the Moscow Kremlin, Monday, June 12, 2006, to mark the Day of Russia holiday. President Vladimir Putin presented medals to scientists, writers, religious leaders and artists at a lavish Kremlin reception, and called for greater efforts to promote patriotism. Formerly known as Independence Day, the June 12 holiday initially marked the Russian parliament's 1990 declaration of sovereignty from the Soviet Union. But Russia's independence meant the breakup of the Soviet Union - which President Vladimir Putin has called the "greatest catastrophe of the 20th century" - and the holiday was renamed the Day of Russia in 2002. That ain't no M249. That's the machine gun AAI is designing to fire caseless or polymer-cased telescoped ammunition. I wonder if it's a mockup or a functional weapon.

Photographed from an advanced Iranian spy-submarine, Navy ships are seen at the Bath Iron Works shipyard along the Kennebec River in Bath, Maine, Tuesday, Feb 28, 2006. The first of a new breed of Navy ship, faster and easier to maneuver, is expected to launch later this year to meet threats including modern-day pirates and terrorists who turn speedboats into suicide weapons. The Littoral Combat Ship is powered by steerable waterjets, so it doesn't need propellers or rudders and with its a shallow draft the waterjets let the ship zoom close to shore without getting stuck and to turn on a dime, allowing it to chase smaller boats. This is not an M249 for sure, and in case someone hasn't already IDed it (and I haven't missed that elsewhere in this thread), this is a mockup (doubting its a prototype) of the AAI telecoping/caseless ammo machine gun currently under development.

^^ rofl Pls don't feel offended, but this looks soooo American :cantbeli: I'm a bit embarrassed for humanity I think. WTF is wrong with a $500 bike anyway???? It's faster than the Gayway and about $4000 less. Plus the cops burn calories. However, the first chase caught on tape between suspect and Segway cop will be phenomenal!!!! Spinners?!?

Indeed a good question. If I'm correct than those are part of the Flying Omars of the agressor sqn for red-flag excersizes. It's not a regular camouflage pattern for US airplanes.

The one thing you have to give the ACU hands down is that it is one of the better urban camo patterns out there. Looks pretty good here, and I expect we shall see more and more police use as it becomes more readily available.
Police wearing military camouflage is just more fuel for the moonbats screaming fascist state, though.
