What a wonderfull day for a shoot
todays weather sucked arsebiscutts

C7A1 familiarization shoot for some new guys, I just happened to be coaching on this wonderful day. it was snowing so much at one point that after shooting we had to whipe off our targets once we walked up just to see where the rounds hit. The targets are your standard fig 11 applciation from the 100m and some fully auto from the 25m point.

Enjoy!

First time these guys ever shooting a rifle, just a simple familiarization shoot with the C7A1, and then eventually be tested on their groupings at 100m in different firing positions, as they progress, so does the difficulty of the serials that they shoot at(dependent on trade), popups, snap shoots, instinctive firing, run downs, jungle lanes, fibua shooting, long range, more positions, and so on & so forth, but for the first time on a range its kept simple.

Plus: this range is unique, being that it is GHETTO, and are not many like it accross the cf, it has no buts, so you can't switch slides on the fly, and we didn't have the popup target machines setup...

They're not really M16's, they're manufactured with some differences by Diemaco, so the C7 is the Diemaco version of the M16, C8 is their M4, etc. I'm pretty sure most of their other weapons are redesignated with the C-prefix as well...I believe the Minimi is called the C9.

Aha. Thanks Rat.

the modes of fire on a c7 are safe, repetition and automatic.
the M249(I think), Minimi, Para, whatever is designated the C9, anything including A1 incorporates an optical sight..

However! Strangly enough, the M203 made by Diemaco is still an M203!
they must have been lacking creativity on that day. That as well as the retired M72.
