Doesn't look like RMM. Their equipment is british alright and their weapons point to SAS/SBS indeed. Thanks for the pictures. Interesting to see the mix of civilian clothing and military clothing btw.

Yup... at first glance they kind of looked like PMCs.

Yes, but their equipment is way too british for that. Diemaco SFW's and stuff like that.

They don't have to be active service members though. Sometimes they also call upon experienced ex-soldiers to go on a mission. Kind of PMC-like, but under contract directly form the department of defense. There's a lot of sh*t going on is A'stan that we don't know about (and shouldn't know about)

I'd say they are SF..they all have the same issue Personal wpn and if yee can remember the taliban prison break/uprising where you see british operators repelling the breakout, you 'll notice they are all wearing civvies too.

C7 is the long version (ie M16 copy). The C8 and SFW are the carbine versions (M4 copies). The weapon in the pictures is the Diemaco SFW. It's like the C8, but with RIS handguard and a heavy barrel.

@Irish Army;
yes, but like I said; under direct contract from the goverment can also be possilbe. It just means they are soldiers and get their equipment from the goverment, but they are not listed as active serving soldiers and they get paid a lot better. It's a way to keep some mission very secret and have very experienced (ex)soldiers on the job.

Royal MudMarines, there's a video out there.. where British soldiers jump out of a landing craft and get stuck in the mud... this video has been posted hundreds of times... thats why reposts are now called RMM:lol:

I am just going to call BS on this. Not because I know, but because I am going to make an ass out of myself. But I will lean out this time.
This would be a SEAL/SF/SAS posers dream if this was true.

" I was once contracted for a super secret mission with...... that there was no formal paperwork etc for, no orders no nothing...........no spit there I was in the middle of"

GREAT Pics here. Just wondering, and it's something I've wondered about since the prison uprising photos of the Brits, what is with their use of blue/green combo of dress? Are the two colors a preference of the local population and allow them to blend in at a distance, or does it allow them to blend into the terrain they are operating in? Just curious.

The weapons are Diemaco L119A1's (SFW) with H&K AG-C (L17A1) 40mm UGL's. I got my grubby mitts on one of these babies last week at a 23 SAS brief, absolutely fecking sweet weapons systems. The guys referred to them as "tubes" (with AG-C) and "slicks" (without AG-C).

These are very cool photos, and certainly haven't been posted before methinks.

British forces tend to be composed of older guys generally, as the forces are seen as a career (the full 22) and not an interim toward other opportunities.

Secondly getting into an elite organisation with references selection and necessary training means you arrive in unit later than if you were to join a standard country regiment. (if we still have those)

And of course the fact that these guys would have put in a minimum of 3 years at a previous unit before, it's not as if they waltzed into selection from the recruiting office.

Sorry guys.

There are OPSEC issues clearly visible in some of the shots and I can still recognise seceral guys despite the black and nasty.

I can't get rid of the ****-head that has uploaded these, but they aren't staying up here.

Everyboddy. STOP asking me to give you the website. If Royal wrote that it's a OPSEC\PERSEC matter then deal with it. You missed then so what ? Sh** happens

I don't want to be wrode but beeing interesteed in SOF does not mean you can just go get photos that could get someone killed in a foregin land someday.

Please be professional and STOP asking me for the pics and the site.

Are they going to be reposted with the PERSEC issue sorted (proper blacking/blurring) or are there still OPSEC issues attached? If so it makes sense to lock the thread.

If Navor wants properly black out the faces and remove the OP and FOB pics he's welcome to repost them.

According to the guys site these pics were provided by the soldiers themselves to reproduced in his book or website ... then again he is a journalist so who the hell knows if he speaks the truth or not.

Either way Royal is of course right.

If they were provided by the guys involved, then they've broken the terms of their non-disclosure contracts.
