Hmmm....

Well, lets see...

April 1 through 4 I am off to the KCR Machine Gun Festival...
http://homepage.mac.com/thesw0rdofroland/.Pictures/KnobCreek/25.jpg

Then for Easter Weekend I may take a stroll to meet a friend. She is visiting a friend of hers and I figure, a 100 mile drive is nothing...get a hotel room, do dinner, have a couple drinks...

Go see the sites...

yeah... it's a good time. I've never actually ridden on the tour (although I'd like to), but I've participated in some of the festivities held in conjunction with the event. ;)
It's held annually, so save your pennies.... maybe one of these years. Plus... you've got friends in Iowa, so you'd have that going for you. :D

Im going to europe this summer. and Florida next fall, and I'll probably be road tripping out to Madison every other weekend.

In July I'm going to the Italian Alps for 3 weeks (wether I pass my exams or not), if I pass I'll probably go on a second holiday at the end of august. Thinking bout Scotland maybe otherwise a trip to fine belgian shores.

Hey now, not all us gun toting fanatics are rednecks. I am sooo much more the gun snob than a shotgun wielding hilljack.

;)

Oh, and no need to handload, when you can buy .308 at the show for under 100.00 per case of 1000 (and yes, some calibers are FAR cheaper...like 9mm HPs for 81.00 and 5.56 for 72.00)...

Not to rub it in or anything. :)

Have fun on your trips guys. 11F5S, sounds like fun, take care as your trek around the globe.

I should warn you guys, my kids bite knees. Especially my daughter. :D Ok, maybe not. I'm going...who knows? For leisure? Not that I will ever get around to taking a vacation, but any tips for where to go? Ireland and Scotland are beautiful. I'm always saying that I'll go visit there. When the kids are in college, right? Except that then I'll have to get three jobs to pay for their tuition. Maybe a trip to the beach? :D The corner deli might be a better choice.

Not that I will ever get around to taking a vacation, but any tips for where to go?

My parents do the Scotland thing once every two years...they love it and made it quite clear to my sister and that they enjoy it without having to drag two bundles of energy around. They get to do the adult thing without and worries except for themselves.

When I was a kid though, I spent a lot of time in Pensacola. Pops was still in Naval Reserve and spent two weeks down there on refresher courses back in the early 70s. So we would go down with him and enjoy Santa Cruz while he worked...then he took a week off from his regular job to spend it with us after is reserve trip was done.

That progressed into (after he got out of the reserves) tours around the South and Atlantic Coastal areas...mainly hitting American Civil War sites and camping.

It did not cost all that much, we learned a lot when we were kids, and we all saw close to half of the United States before I was 15...

We did the tour in a 1976 Red, White, and Blue VW Van to boot...with curtains rofl

Those were good times.
