One of the American Idol contestants-Diana DeGarmo-goes to my highschool. Interesting because the only people who seem to care about her are her friends and the staff, but she's got a voice, i'd have to admit...
The Christian rock band called "Sundry" graduated from my school also.

Hah, my high school is famous of only one thing.
Guess what?
There's been at least two or three women's beauty contest winners in my high school (for you Finnish, kaksi tai kolme Missiä), and all of them have graduated from it as well.
Damn, I thought they were all blondes...

Enjoyed listening to him taking the piss out of teachers on the radio, and watching the teachers' reactions rofl

Maine Finn
03-23-2004, 10:58 PM
Aye, that's Southern Maine.
If you listen long enough to some of the nuts who run our dear State, (although I don't know why you would want to) you'll hear mention of "The Two Maines", or something to that effect. Essentially, Southern Maine and Northern Maine are considered to be two almost totally seperate entities. Don't ask me why, I'm not sure at all. But it has a lot to do with the continuing migration of residents away from the Northern counties (where the major industries are logging and farming) to the Southern counties, where there are more far more career opportunities.
As far as I'm concerned, the only good things about Southern Maine are the accessibility of the beaches ( :D ), the Maine Mall, and, of course, the Old Port. (What's a trip to Portland without a visit to the OP?)
Anyway... O_O
I rambled.

atleast two famous people went to the same high-school as me.
The most famous being Mats Sundin, Captain(?) in Toronto Maple Leafs. Two of my teachers were the same as he had.
And the second one being Kajsa Bergquist (spelling), a very good athlete in high jump. The shortest jumper (1,75?) who is always among those fighting for the gold medal. One teacher in common.

Apparently Much of his dislike of authority and the education system ... comes from his experiences [here] ... In the words of his final report, 'Waters never fulfilled his considerable potential.'"
David Gilmour also went to Perse boys school (my sister is at perse for girls).
Theres loads of Pink Floyd history here in Cambridge, I just discovered a month ago that the suspicious resemblance the inner-city cathedral bears to the cover of 'Animals' is not just a co-incidence.
Chris Patten (European Commissioner last govenor of hong kong (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chris_Patten)), Peter Ackroyd (author (http://books.guardian.co.uk/authors/author/0,5917,-1,00.html)), jay kay (jamiroquai (http://www.jamiroquai.co.uk/)) and Julian Clarey

Yeah she seems to win all the not so important competitions, but when there is the olympics or world championship her luck or whatever seems to run out, bugger huh. :(
I think she is recovering from an injury right now and wont compete until Athens.

Good luck to her, as a fellow high jumper (a bad one though) I think anyone with a technique so odd as Cloete's doesn't deserve immense success.
That said, I tend to windmill one arm, so I probably should'nt comment.
