View Full Version : Hamas 'implicitly accepts Israel'

Palestinian militant group Hamas has agreed to a document backing a two-state solution to the conflict with Israel, officials say.
The initiative, devised by prisoners held in Israeli jails, implicitly recognises the Jewish state.
Hamas's charter currently calls for Israel's destruction by force and rules out peace negotiations with it.
The deal comes amid heightened tension with Israel following the capture of an Israeli soldier by militants on Sunday.
Officials said the agreement would be unveiled later on Tuesday by Prime Minister Ismail Haniya of Hamas and President Mahmoud Abbas, of the rival Fatah faction.
"We agreed on all the points of the prisoners' initiative," Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri said in quotes carried by AFP news agency.
Mr Abbas had proposed holding a referendum on the plan unless Hamas accepted it.
The two factions have been locked in an intense power struggle since Hamas gained control of the Palestinian parliament in elections in January.

F**k them and the horse they rode in on.
They launch rocket attacks against our civilians and infiltrate our borders, killing two of our soldiers and abducting a third.
And now because they signed some piece of paper which is only good for wiping one's a*s, they think it will change something?

Sounds like Hamas is nervous.
Anyone have any idea why?

Didnt the Israeli govt already wipe their ass with this, why does the headline still read they are recognizing Israel, if Israel doesnt recognize that they are recognizing.:)
Also I like to read alot of news in the morning when I get to work, yahoo(*******), ny post, daily news, cnn, bbc. Its like a cup of coffee to hear liberal rants on bbc voice out, such the ones posted on http://newsforums.bbc.co.uk/nol/thread.jspa?threadID=2301&&&edition=2&ttl=20060627145641 about the soldier. I did go to NYC public school, but Im pretty sure my history books were accurate, and I know how to read,English, so its hard to say as to what these people read.
Even though I have a bias against arabs, I can still read the news, which on the site listed above is either heavily left or right and never balanced, I can still form opinions critcizing Israel and US policy, what bothers me is not what idiots say, but the manner and conviction with which they say it. I dont mind that your views are ignorant, but seriously some of these folks are ready to pick up guns and fight over shiit they dont know.
Of course, like any peace agreement, it is only temporary. Even Arafat said that the ultimate goal was to expel the jews, and that any peace agreement would perpetuate the inevitable. And he was a moderate compared to these Islamists.

In the last weeks around 20 palestinians civilians have been killed in air strikes, some days ago two hamas members were kidnapped by Israel army inside Gaza. It seems that they play with the same rules.
As always civilians will pay the cost. :-(
This implicit accept can be a first steep, who knows, sounds a bit positive for me.

It is very simple, had there been no rocket attacks against the western Negev, there would be no airstrikes.
So don't you try to preach morals here.

Fine, then you go make peace with them... since a very small number of Israelis are going to believe this BS.

One civil dead is one civil dead, nevermind his nationality, race or religion.

And bad luck is bad luck. Which is the reason for civilians getting killed in IDF operations against terrorists.

The two who were 'kidnapped' are terrorists, they committed crimes so they are put in jail. One of the reasons the IDF took them alive was that tunnel that the terrorists came from, the IDF knew about a tunnel and thought they know where it is.
Artilery/aerial attacks came after hundreds of missiles landed in Sderot/Negev and after warnings that Israel will assassinate leaders if they continue.
They got their chance to build a calm land alongside Israel, they used it for terrorism and now it's time to pay.
We don't want civilians killed so they better leave their homes and move to Egypt, if they don't it's their problem.

I find it quite funny to see Haniyeh to sign this while the real head of the Hamas, in Damascus pressures in the other direction.
Maybe we should bomb out the **** of Hassad after all, he is the real address.
Whatever the outcome of the kidnaping of Cpl Guilad Shalit, that I hope will be freed by our forces ASAP, we`ll need to deal a blow to the PA, as painful as it might be for us and them, we are dealing with a political entity recognized internationaly, that enjoys a seat (legitimate or not) at the UN, and was created following a "peace process", even botched.
Their "forces" are under the command of their president and prime minister, and the attacks since the withdrawal are as many declarations of war, so if they want war, let it be, but only under ONE condition, that we give the IDF a free hand, and that we let it win, whatever the cost, otherwise, it ain`t worth it to spill the blood of anyone in a large scale operation, and we should simply cut them the electricity, lock them in, and leace an exit only passage at Rafah crossing, the Sinai might give them enough to think of the meaning of responsibility.

Now they "explicitly" dont recognize Israel. WTF is medias problem reporting that they "implicitly" recognise Israel all day, even though they had the same info in front of them the whole time, c-ck sucking pieces of shiit giving hippies reason to live.
I must say...
ITS A SAD SAD TIME IN HISTORY WHEN JOHN STEWART IS THE ONLY PERSON ON TV GIVING "FAIR AND BLANCED" NEWS.
