Well, I can finally announce the release fo this book. I did close to half of the illustrations inside.

I think I may have to reconsider doing a complete release of work contract. I am fairly dissapointed in it. They absolutely butchered the artwork...
Here are some low rez samples...

Even if you are a bit disappointed in the outcome, it's very cool to be "published".... Congrats!! :D

It's some kind of role-playing/board game combat system thing, no?

Its seems so... D20 is that game mechanics system if I remember right...
Funny thing Durandal - but youre not alone even REMOV had his part in making some roleplaying system here in Poland (he consulted weapons part of course ;) ). I also have my part in this business - so welcome to the club

Wow, I just saw that book in Barnes & Noble yesterday, I had no idea that you were behind it. By the way, in the book, the M16A4 is pictured as an AKSU-74. ;)

I am not that annoyed. Its just so...well...unprofessional (as is I suppose bitching about it in public *shrug*). But it is a lesson learned. Give them pearls and someone can turn it to crap. :)

Yeah, its the Modern D&D system brought to you by the people that did Magic the Gathering and Pokemon.

I used to own a part of a publishing company and worked within the game industry for a couple years before and after that. So far I have done the production, layout, internal illustration, or editing on on 11 books...all games or source material for games...and a little pre-production for a zombie-graveyard board game that never got published...
Fun stuff...
And thanks man. I have been thinking of doing more (re-producing some of the ones I have already done...cannot use the originals since the client owns them now). Mainly for myself...T-shirts and mugs mainly...I have always wanted a shirt with the current family of ALL the H&K guns currently being produced...

Yep, that is REALLY annoying. Since the three of us (the author, myself and another illustrator went to great pains to make sure the client would not make a goof up like that).
So its all black and white outlines of weapons?
Yes...and for you Russian'philes...we did a LOT of current Russian equipment that most games like this ignore or do not know about.
*****
And to the rest of you that simply said "congrats"...
Thanks! :)

Hehe - I love that idea with gun t-shirts. HK, then some russian arms - hey, hey - that might actually sell quite nicely! I got some IMI/Krav Maga t-shirts with UZI and I love them p-)
