Operation Flashpoint?

i have had this game for a while, never really played it..because i dont really know how. lol

couple questions..
add ons/mods etc. how do i use them?
it seems like the mod community is rather large for OFP but idk how to install the mods and how to use them. Are they only for multiplayer?

i had more, but cant think of them right now

anything you need can pretty much be talked about/downloaded/linked to- from here. don't play ofp anymore, but i still check this site regularly. i love to see the amazing things people do to mod this game and constantly increase realism (most of the time.)

Most addons you need Resistance. Have you bought the addon pack Resistance?

If not you should download patch 1.48:

If you have Resistance you need to update to patch 1.96:

You download addons, unpack them, check the 'readme' and for the most copy them to the: 'C:/Programs(or Programfiles)Operation flashpoint/RES/addons' directory, but check the readme first. Some addons have tutorial missions you copy to Operation Flashpoint/User/Missions.

I gotta go to work, but I'll try to find some helpful links after work, how for example to change the Singleplayer campaign to using USMC units with updated weapons.

Id say the only worthy mod is FDF. And the best user made campaign is Retaliation.

SFP is just as good, just lacks the same amount of missions. Another great mod i FFUR 2006.
