Tonight shall be my last night posting for four whole days, for I voyage across the dark seas to a forbidden land simply known as Mexico. Sure I'll have to fight off pirates, maruaders, and various riff-raff, but I believe my travels will be prosperous! I shall return with many Mexican trasures and a new found wealth of information! So wish me luck on this grand adventure!

Onward to MEXICO!

Have fun bud, stay out of trouble. The jails and water are not fun, so avoid both.

There is no better way to drink. They key for those of us, umm ahhh, lacking the femanine charms, it is important to OVERtip on the first round, be patient & not pushy and sit at the bar for atleast the first 2 rounds. You will be remembered when it is needed.

I find showing cleavage to be a good strategy. That and smiling.... and a little eye contact. ;)

yeah.... I haven't even told the story of the Guinness hat I got in Florida. We had a good time on St. Patrick's Day. :)

(let me clarify... I don't use the cleavage strategy in the classroom.)

one each Guinness & Kilkenny pint glass

and a big framed Guinness shamrock poster to further expand the collection...

all thanks to my girlfriend smiling at the bartenders ;)

Well.... there really wasn't that much to tell.... we were at TGIFridays and the waiters and bartenders had on these cool Guinness hats. (They are about a foot tall.) So I asked our waiter about getting one and he told me to ask the bartender. I found out what the bartender's name was.... went up and leaned on the bar.... tilted my head... smiled... and in a really sweet voice said.... "Ronnie... can I have your hat?"

so... he told me to come back later, and I could have it.... (which my friends thought meant that he was going to expect something for it... but I knew better)
We went to another bar... and had drinks. While we were there I asked the bartender how much the glasses were.... (with the bar name printed on them) and he just wrapped them up for us.... when he gave us the cheap green hats to wear... he put his phone number in mine.... ;) The drinks were really good and free at that bar.... :)
We went back to Fridays and Ronnie gave me his hat.... and didn't ask for a thing. I did give him a good tip, however.
There was this other guy sitting there (that we had talked to at the conference I was attending), and he asked what I had to do for the hat. I told him that I just asked... and he said... "oh come on... how did you ask?"
So I told him....
and he said.... "****... I'd give you my shirt if you asked me like that...." p-) He bought us a few rounds as well. All in all, we had a good time. :D

I'm thinking I need to move to Florida!!! Maybe it was just a full moon??? who knows.... ;)

Funny story, I used to have this dirty old man for a history teacher back in high school. And this cute girl that sat next to me would ALWAYS wear a short skirt around when grades were coming out. I asked her about it and she said "The key to this class is just wear a short skirt and don't cross your legs when grades are coming out" Needless to say that strategy never worked for me either stoli.
