An SRT Marine secures the front of a bathroom while another searches the back in a training exercise in an empty building here. While training, members of the elite team wear full-body safety gear, including flame-retardant face masks. Their weapons vary from laser-guided pistols to tactical shotguns, and include nonlethal devices such as "flash-bangs," which are grenades that don't explode but flash brightly to stun supects.
