no one gets that obese from food alone, the man had to have something wrong with his glands.

Where is he today? I think it is a tremendous achievement that he lost half his weight in a year....however I still don't think gastric bypass surgery is a healthy solution.

living with a gastric bypass is very dangerous, if people who have had this surgery eat the wrong things by accident, they can actually rupture their reduced stomach. on the other hand for someone as excesivly obese as this person, and because his life was already at risk maybe it was the thing to do.

I've always thought about that too..... stuck in a bed and cant move....someone is hooking them up.

Nah, she should have charged ppl to come and see the freakshow, then they could point and shout 'OMFG', and he couldn't do anything about it.

I saw that guy on a show on Discovery Times... he had a very good attitude about the whole thing...

I recall him saying he was glad people couldn't call him the "half ton man" anymore, and instead the "1/4 ton man" good sense of humor p-)
