Talks to disarm Libya from it's WMDs were started well before the "Coalition" attacked Irak. And the whole thing started before 9/11 when Libya handed the Lockerbie terrorists to the western authorities and claimed responsibility for bomming.
Perhaps Gaddafi is coming to his senses....? And don't say that he is affraid of the USA/UK, wankers. If he is scared then why crap in the pants now and not 20 years ago?

Because Americans are in his backyard in Iraq and Afghanistan, he's probably watched the free world unite over the 9-11 attacks and came to the point of being "with us, or against us".

The talks on Libya's re-entry into the international community were started a long time before GW2, he has been having problems with militant Islam himself, better relations and trade with the rest of the world will secure his position and keep Libya's young away from Al-Q and the likes. If anything Gaddafi probably new Saddams number was up long before Iraq was invaded he is more than anything afterall a survivor.

No question about it.A number of sources I've read say that the secret negotiations with Libya began a few years ago, and were concluded months before the Iraq war even started. If anything, all the iraq war probably did was to delay the announcement.
