2.5. Don't direct post gory or graphic images. If you must post such things, only provide a regular link with a large warning as to what to expect when someone clicks on it. We're not interested in surprises here. Users that continue to post such images after a warning will be banned.


2.6. Don't use avatars or other imagery that is obscene or sexist. Emphasizing the other part of rule 2.5, nobody on here is looking for surprises. Many of the users here are browsing this site while at work. Having avatars or images with half-naked women/men goes against this idea because even if it's a regular discussion thread, you've now inserted non-work safe imagery into it so people could get in trouble for having it on the screen when co-workers are around. Keep such content on sites that are dedicated to such things, which this site isn't. The mods and I are going to start deleting threads/posts/avatars deemed offensive without warning or explaination from now on as the number of complaints has risen sharply as of late.

I'm sure most people I'v spoken to in here today don't understand Russian involvement in Iraq. Does that mean they are "stupid"? Of course not. But it might mean they haven't had the time or resources to figure it out. Do I agree with the idea of young people dying? No. Has anyone figured out a better way yet? No. Do I think we need to be in Iraq killing. Yes. It was not easy to come to these conclusions, but when history is analysed to such an extent, it is obvious that some things are worth dying for. And giving up our (religious) history in the Middle East, and, yes, the oil, and yes, to prevent the fu***ng Russians from gaining a foothold in the region, yes, its all worth it. Just as certain types of *** is offensive to some people, certain acts of violence in real time or photographs of same can also be offensive, to some people. Thus it is arguably “****ographic”. On the other hand these photos and films can be a form of training and/or “scouting” for those personality types, in the American Military, who have a natural inclination to indulge in such matters, when we need them. As for the “Essence in killing” thing. I was simply provoking a philosophical debate to which some people over reacted while condemning me to a particular side of it. I do not believe that what I said is inaccurate because tanks, gun ships, choppers, and F15’s and Stealth are designed for one thing only. At the same time this does not mean that I “therefore” disagree with it. But the hot-heads jumped all over me.

So, it makes me wonder how many people on this site could actually do some killing if they had to.
