I'ts the army of the Jewish people IN Israel. Nevertheless nice video's eventhough most of them have been posted. Wish more video;s like that would pop up on the net just like they do of U.S. forces in Irak.

good videos. stupid name. 'army of god' is the hezbollah. IDF is the army of Israel.
yeah, the only army of god is the one that knocks on my door at 7am on sunday mornings, trying to convert me to be a jehovah's witness. thread topic changed.

Hezbullah = Party of God.
There are various incarnations of the "Army of God" including an extreme right-wing, abortionist bombing, American group and a group which uses child-soldiers somewhere in Africa (can't remember which country).
But I do agree. Army of God is a stupid name for the IDF. God, or at least the God I worship, does not endorse the targeting of innocent civilians.

it's some kind of combat engineers anthem so i would guess the girl singing is from a military band.

No, it's the army of a sovereign state that answers to democratically elected civilian authority. That most (not all) of its soldiers are Jews does not make it an arm or tool of the Jewish people. It operates to defend the State of Israel and act as a policy instrument of that state.
Like almost all other inductees around the world, an IDF soldier swears to uphold the lawful orders of his legally assigned commanders and gives allegiance to the state, not the Torah, not the Laws of Moses, and not the Chief Rabbis or any other authority.

You are so right. I apoligize. Here in the diaspora, I will faster think of it as the army of Israel defending the Jewish people. But ofcourse there are many more people fighting and being protected than Jews. I know the words I used were wrong.
