So ol' Cameron has come out with a corker a la Bliar. In fact worse. We must hug and love hoodies coz no one understands them, the poor sods. He's starting us on snake oil and he'll finish treating us like a nation of drooling idiots.
Blair is bad but this guy is going to be far worse if he gets in. I miss Maggie.

hmmm..."hug a hoodie" huh? Well, to be perfectly honest I think this guys got some good points. I used to work at an extended care program at a private school, and some of these kids k-8, didn't have the best parents. Some of these kids just need a damn hug or contact. But in today's world it's scary to touch a kid, especially as a guy. The kindergartners would just come up and hug you, and I felt like I had to push them away. I dunno...I don't like where our society is headed.

Yeah Cameron is just Blair mark 2. He has also realized that in order to get elected in the UK you have to be bland, synthetic and content-free. Expect more of the same warm, fuzzy, touchy feely, New Labour bollox if the Tories get elected.
I didn't like Maggie much when she was on the scene but at least she ran the government 'by the book' rather than constantly trying to reduce the role of Parliament and Cabinet while thinking up 'eye catching' but meaningless policy initiatives on the sofa in 10 Downing Street.

It was a sickly sight watching him talking about the hoodies. Pathetic, really pathetic.

Does Cameron come up with this stuff himself or has he replaced a large number of the entrenched policy wonks at Tory headquarters. There was piece on Cameron’s speech in the FT today and I quote this line from it “The “hoodies” initiative is designed instead to show the parties new-found liberal social instincts”.
Just when Joe and Jane Public from across the entire political spectrum are calling for tougher sentencing for anti-social criminals Cameron runs off at the mouth with this mince. If you ask me Gordon Brown is giving Cameron a bung to hobble the Tories good and proper before the next general election.
