The Land Reserve (or Militia) is made up of citizen soldiers who train part-time at local armouries throughout the year and full-time (as their civilian employment permits) at military bases across Canada during the summer. Reservists also are eligible to take callouts to regular force taskings, exercises, and peacekeeping missions. Here are a few pics..

Thanks for the pictures they brought horrid memories. No wait, Great memories! I think all militia infanteers seem to experience the same things. I was in the Calgary Highlanders for a bit, would love to go back, but no chance of that happening cause i would hate to go through battle school in wainwright again.

Nice pictures, I really like the Canadian "land forces reserve".

I've got to say, this system that Canada has in place is absolutely great in my opinion.

I wish we'd have something like this in Finland as well, because I would join in a heartbeat.
