Now consider the repeated attempts by governments to ban "assault style" weapons like the Colt, but not the technically identical Rugers. The only difference between the two is styling. This should be important to you because it is important to some people in government.

Now what I'm proposing is a program to restyle some of these mean looking weapons to make them friendlier.

First of all, the colours must be changed. Black and green is just so Vietnam era. How about some brighter colours and pastels? Some floppy ears might help too.

There ought to be an official program to change the looks of everything from "military style" to "theme park style"? Sadly, the leadership is slow on adopting the obvious so it is up to people on this forum to show some initiative.

Think about it. With these new style weapons the military can destroy the enemy in a much nicer way, just as many civilians want them to.

I'm not saying civilians aren't crazy you understand, many are, but this is about what they seem to actually want.

So, get styling!

Thanks koutch, but that is just a little colour. It is still a pretty mean looking "assault style" rifle. I'm thinking about some stylistic changes too. You know, add some floppy ears, eyes, nose and a mouth. Then it will be a Politically Correct "theme park style" and legal everywhere.

whehehe, probably not the same incident (this is a Tornado?) happened to a Dutch F16 once in Italy during operation Allied Force (afaik) he rammed the sidewinder AA missile straight into a fuel truck or something by accident (one should hope :))

figuring they killed it with an anti aircraft weapon they then painted a kill marking (the fuel truck :)) under the cockpit :D

While taxiing at London's Gatwick Airport, the crew of a US Air flight departing for Ft. Lauderdale made a wrong turn and came nose to nose with a United 727.

An irate female ground controller lashed out at the US Air crew, screaming: "US Air 2771, where the hell are you going?! I told you to turn right onto Charlie taxiway! You turned right on Delta! Stop right there.
I know it's difficult for you to tell the difference between C and D, but get it right!" Continuing her rage to the embarrassed crew, she was now shouting hysterically: "God! Now you've screwed everything up!
It'll take forever to sort this out! You stay right there and don't move till I tell you to! You can expect progressive taxi instructions in about half an hour, and I want you to go exactly where I tell you, when I
tell you, and how I tell you! You got that, US Air 2771?"

"Yes, ma'am," the humbled crew responded.

Naturally, the ground control communications frequency fell terribly silent after the verbal bashing of US Air 2771. Nobody wanted to chance engaging the irate ground controller in her current state of mind. Tension in every cockpit out around Gatwick was definitely running high.

Just then an unknown pilot broke the silence and keyed his microphone asking: "Wasn't I married to you once?"

I´ve seen a video about theese guys on Youtube for a while ago. Whithout subtitling it might be hard for non-Finns to understand. The idea was to introduce the military life for them. They had some days in uniform, eating rations and trying it out. Under a supervising officer they had to act as sentrys (whitout weapons) at the base. They had also some firing training with BB guns. The whole idea was to give them some experience about something that every male had done in that country. As a bonus it also gave them some self confidence, which they often are lack of. Personally I´m saluting that kind of idea.

I´m a soldier, the reason to that is to protect them who can´t.
