I was rummaging through my pictures a couple of days ago and found a picture I took of a Mac-10 I acquired through "friends" help in yugoslavia and keep it in my grandparents village to shoot when I visit. I emailed the pic to mac10.org and now here it is to you.
Isn't he a cute little guy? :D

I'm pretty sure Cobray didn't sell no Mac-10's to Yugoslavia.

I'm pretty sure Cobray didn't sell no Mac-10's to Yugoslavia.

And Cobray was not the only one making the weapon, there was a lot of
other manufacturers as well, it was used by Yugoslav armed forces back
in the days atleast, but who made it I donīt know.

I donīt understand why they simply just couldnīt design the weapon so that
the receicer was longer = slower rate of fire and more controllable.

Gotta admit, it is cute. Not good, not pretty, not enticingly thrilling, but just plain and simple... cute.

No but ever heard of black-market? There was weapons from all over the world used in the conflict in yugoslavia. We were at a flee market with friends back in 1996 and back then there wasn't a big crack-down on crimes so my friend purchased one from a "dealer". Now it's at my village. And also it is very useful for CQB since it sprays so well. The 35 round mags I have don't have alot of capacity for the rate of fire so I want to get some custom ones with 50 round capacity! :P

it may look good, but compared to other SMG's and Machine pistols, its innacurate, suffers from serious recoil, and eats up ammo like a vulcan cannon.

And it does suffer from the Gangsta hip hop cliche it has become.

I much rather have an Mp5, or even an Uzi.

It seems to be completely useless when fired full auto. If I was unfortunate
enough to get one in my hands and have to use it against armed people, I would
fire it with double-taps on semi-automatic mode, and I would rather have some
sort of barrel extension so that I would not shoot my own fingers away.

AK-Lover
03-27-2004, 09:27 PM
That's why most have silencers on them and plus to make them more controllable and accurate.
BUT! they are ver useful for multiple target hits and drive-by's. Also they are good for providing withering cover fire at close ranges. :D
Plus it's fun as hell to rip up foxes and diseased pigs with it! :D woot

Hmm... I really couldn't find better matching pair: AK - lover and that gangsta spray&pray MAC thingie rofl

Have your fun with it AK, but just dont harm yourself or any one or guys with more reliable weapons such as MP5 will come kockin at your door.

Also if you'll notice on the front I put on a sling tied to it's self for something to grab onto. Alot of people do this because it's cheap and fairly effecive.

At 20m range to the target I doubt the target would know the difference between an MP5 and a MAC-10. Of couse so few people actually use the shoulder stock on the MAC-10 of course it is going to have a poor reputation regarding accuracy... but if you want accuracy WTF are you wasting time with a SMG?

Is it in 45 cal or 9mm, AK-lover? (I always thought the MAC-10 was 45 calibre and the MAC-11 was 9mm).

AK-Lover
03-28-2004, 12:45 PM
No. the M-10 comes in .45 and 9mm and the M-11 in .380 ACP which gives it a rate of up to 1600 rpm! :D woot

Sayeret
03-28-2004, 05:12 PM
Its pretty inaccurate but that shouldn't matter if its for self-defense since most in most shootings people shoot at eachother from only a few feet away. I would rather have an Uzi but the Mac-10 is fine for self-defense and shooting things at the target range.

I say MPi-81. Steyr did what Ingram should have done. Made the gun longer,
more controllable and simply a better gun, but still being extremely simple.

AKs right my UZI is a brick! A MAC would ideal in a situation where one needed the concealability of pistol but with some added fire power. The Hk SP-89 would fill this role well also. With practice weapons of this sort can be fired accurately out to 20yds.

I'm pretty sure Cobray didn't sell no Mac-10's to Yugoslavia.

Actually they did before the war.

I saw it a very long time ago...

If I find the source I'll post it.

But, I remember doing some research a while ago and finding that Ingram sold to Yugo in the 80's.

The ingram is simple, reliable, cheap and compact.

Did you actually bag a couple of foxes with it?

I'd love to have a Calico for hunting purposes.

Anyway I did bag a couple of foxes but it took a lot of ammo I think I fired something like 16-1800 rounds in the one day, barrel was totally worn out! :D
