Think twice before asking like that.

The cqbr with eotech for CQB and an option with ACOG, bipod and spr barrel is for parasniping(?) i think.

well i started with the stock G&P defender aeg. i killed the G&P gearbox only after a couple games so i put a Systema one in with an m120 spring and a Systema motor. I switched to a Magpul MIAD grip and now im trying to pick between the two bodies. im not sure what i like better the magpul or the stoner rifles one. what do you like santana?

So I finished my final M4 I had lying around. It was the Star one that I swiped the SIR-S from. I decided to just rig it up with a different front setup. I went with the Proud replica ARMS #50CV SIR, the VFC three-****g flash hider, which accepts the PPA SCAR-L mock surpressor, a KAC gas block and flip up sight, the enlarged trigger guard, which I actually didn't like and took off. I'm going to start looking around for a stock that might look better with it. The flash hider would not thread on a G&P or Star barrel. Luckily I had a spare CA 10" lying around which worked.

It clamps around the barrel nut. It also has protrusions at the rear that keep it lined up with the receiver as it fits neatly in between them.

sweet thanks firefly. how sturdy is it cause it looks like the top of the rail is black betal(?) and the lower the greyish plastic(?) and i right?
You are correct, the top is metal. It is pretty sturdy. You may have to do some jerry-rigging to get it so though. The crown on the barrel nut would not line up into the groove of the SIR, so I had to unscrew it a few turns to get it to the sweet spot. I ran out of washers so I improvised with 3 little black rubber bands for ponytails. When I get around to it I'll replace them with washers.

Welcome to MP.net Vic. I've seen you on Arnies-it's ME! Watch out for Kap-she bites! (J/K-we love her here)
@ Bender: may I suggest dusting the black parts of your tan M4 CQBR with dark brown? And a torch would be good on that. Good job.
Ben_der
01-09-2009, 03:10 AM
Yeah I will change the Barrel to a one or 2 Piece one because that TM Barrel isn't the best.
As for the Earplugs:
2 for Nosebleeding, you never know when you get that!
and
2 for the night, against snoring teammates p-)
@Highspeed
I don't want to paint the black parts brown because my SPR already has a khaki-dark brown paintjob and that medium brown or how it is called, I don't like it that much. My mates M4 has that khaki-medium brown paintjob and for my personal taste, I don't really like it. Also I want some varienty on my weapons :)
Yeah a Torch, I think I'll put my hands on a Surefire G2 LED or something abit bigger.

Bloody nose? Just take one piece of toilet paper fold it up a few times then roll it, it will be big enough for your nostrils and it shouldn't fall out. I just let my nose bleed in game whenever I get them. I clot pretty quick so it's not a problem for me. :p
That 2 tone looks bad, it also looks like you caked it on as well making it look even more worse. I think OD would of been a better choice, or tan... Maybe to get away from all the common guns around here - you could of tried foliage green paint.
airman3p031
01-09-2009, 09:49 AM
yeah it does look bad. it was ment for a primer i guess thats why its so thick also it was painted camo before this. im hopeing to get some tan today. but its only a test. ill have to find some foliage green that might look good

@ airman3p031: Did you modified the VLTOR stock to hold nunchucks batteries or you go with LiPos?
Nice guns anyway, minus that brown upper p-)
airman3p031
01-09-2009, 10:44 AM
e VLTOR stock runs off of a nunchuck style the single row type. it came stock with the King Arms SEAL that i started with its a nice stock but wobbles a bit more then the G&P Crane

I do the same thing in my upgraded DBOYS. I like th cammo painting on the stock in the third one, you have to theach me how to do that. I see a new pistol grip on the first one, nice. Good job, woot
BTW, what are those red balls in the stocks?
airman3p031
01-09-2009, 03:22 PM
the red things are ear plugs. the third one is that project gun i was telling you about i modding my CA CQB SEAL the wireing to the rear is a temp thing i am planing on getting a G&P Crane stock for it. i love the magpul body. I still need a gasblock, MIAD grip like the first one, new eotech, and a new flash hider.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to use that gas piston block, as it'd require some serious modification to fit under the RIS II.
So I'll have to nab one of those $10 low profile gas blocks before I can assemble the front end.

There has to be a military pic somewhere that shows this catastrophe, earplugs go in a freaking earplug case, if you leave that crap on your buttstock you'll be digging dirt out of your ears for days. Or you'll be going to see the medics to dig it out for YOU.

The cheapest one I could find was $474 from http://www.copesdistributing.net/
The carrying handle mount took some waiting around for on ebay even though you could get the scope with mount for $100 more at places like www.whatacountry.com
I saved about $70 doing it my way.

Hey guys, it's been years since I was last on here, and I've recently gotten back into airsoft after all this time. I have a question, all opinions welcome:
-G&G: http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_237&products_id=4587
-JG : http://www.airsoftgi.com/product_info.php?cPath=139_24_166&products_id=3432
Let me start out by saying, I already have a quality, primary AEG (AE MP5A4 w/Ris System) that has no major issues. I'm wanting a second/backup gun that I'm going to design for exclusive woodland game use... I've led myself to the M4 line having previously owned a TM M4A1, I'm back for more.
My main requirement is that I want to gun to shoot around the High 300 to 400 fps range. I know that would almost automatically knock the G&G out of the picture, but the price difference between the two models would allow me to add in a M110 or M120 spring.
Of the two mentioned, which would you personally go with? I do know of the pros of each so..
JG: Already shoots 400fps, comes with battery, "enhanced mechbox".
GG: Already has a tightbore, Marine trademarks, same internals as high priced G&Gs
So does the G&G's internals and preinstalled tightbore inner barrel make it the better buy? Would it overall be a more reliable gun? And how would it handle an M120 without the installation of any other internals? Or should I go ahead with the JG M4 Enhanced since it pretty much is already what I want internally?
Sorry for so many dang questions, I've just been out of the loop for a while.

Thanks for the comments guys. (I just use it as a training tool to retain/reinforce RS weapon skills, ammo is cheaper, etc.)
@ Blackhawk: I'd suggest the replica TM-JG over a G&G for a back-up rifle. I don't trust G&G internals and the JG is cheaper with TM compatibility and is already pre-upgraded. Good luck!
@ Victory: G&P Knights Arm. QD suppressor, it has nice detailing like the VFC.

Nice!
I ordered that same Barska scope earlier today to use on my coming HK416, as those have been observed with S&B scopes (which, of course, are waayy to expensive).
How is the quality of that scope, btw?
I have their 2x20 scope (almost same look, but smaller) and it's not very good, eye relief is too long, and it's generally how you would expect a $30 scope to be.
Hoping the 1.25-4.5 is better.

@ SnoeDae: thanks. I got the idea from real ones from the ARF.com pic threads.
@ Panzergraf: the scope performs great for the price, you'll love it. It can take the recoil from a real firearm because it was made for them. The eye relief is good. The way its set up on there now, you have good eye relief from just 1 or 2 clicks way out of the telescopic M4 stock. Plus you have the variable adjustment. I know what you mean by the sucky eye relief from your 2 X 20. I had a similar one and you need like a full-sized M16 stock to use it.
@ Flea: thanks again.
@ Troubador: I just build/collect them and fondle/carress them along with some gear (j/k). It's a cheaper way to train along with real-steel, ie; tactics, gunfighting and a way to own replicas of kewl gunz. Not all states are suppressor/SBR/full-auto/Class 3 friendly, not to mention the thousands of $'s. M68 mount was from LaRue Tactical and the others from the internets.
Keep building and posting up all your cool Armalites!

You're right LS, buffer tube/retractable stock tube "pipe" since electric hairsoft AR's don't have a buffer. The silver "pipe" comes that way, its made by Systema. Why its silver? I don't know.

No-no! You're very welcome in here. The manufacturer of that particular electric airsoft M4 (Systema) makes their "buffer tube" in a silver finish, as opposed to the black/dark gray the others normally come with.

it's bling. it's a status symbol to own a Systema.
I own one, but I sure as hell don't believe it to be a status symbol. I just like "things" that don't freaking wobble around. I've owned quite a few other airsoft guns throughout the years, also liked them all, had my ups and downs with a few makers as well, but that doesn't make me think any different of them. As long as they shoot, they are A-OK in my book. :)

Keep in mind that CA copied Tokyo Marui in the beginning and that Jing Gong/Echo 1 are mostly copies of TM's. DBoy's AEG's are a little iffy for now, some have mixed experience. Same with the G&G. That being said, I think you'll be good with either the CA or JG M4's. I have a Sportline M15 (AR-15) as a "project" gun. It's been ok so far. If I were you, the new 2009 CA M4's (M15A4) are a great deal out of the box, good FPS with a metal receiver. Good luck, have fun and be safe! [If you'll be going to a shop for mods, keep in mind too that most of them will only guarantee major manufacturer guns and may charge extra to work on "replikas."] I know for now that you just want a basic AR. But I guarantee you, you will want all those tacti-cool things very soon... the more you see different AR/M4's. I guarantee it.

this was just discussed a few days ago here. Hispeed1 posted pics of a Barska scope similar to the S&B on his airsoft rifle. MUCH more affordable than an S&B.

M0ar pics!
I just ordered a CA M15A4 sportline value package (sling, safety glasses, 8,4v battery and charger) 5 King Arms 120 round plastic mags, 6000 Blaster BB's and an intellect 9,6v battery. woot
I'll post pics in the "Your latest acquisition! (http://www.militaryphotos.net/forums/showthread.php?t=31579)" thread when I get it.

That's nice Bphilb-may I suggest a bit browner shade of tan? I was happy with Tamiya's aircraft spray line: tan and dark earth. Spray a base coat of tan and over lay it lightly with dark earth to your liking or for dark accents. Tamiya paints stick well to metal and plastic. I also want to suggest painting your whole M4 CQBR-but if you don't want to go all the way, how about a light mist of tan on it?

Don't think the ACR is out yet.. instead I could have educated and inspired 300 young children in Ghana through the One Laptop Per Child program. Or I could have brought clean fresh well drilling capability to 100 South African villages through Lifewater International. Or at least I could have sponsored up to 8 children for a year through Christian Children's Fund. But no, I just spent it all on myself :P

You're right; your brain damage cannot be undone.
I paid less than half of that for these real weapons.

And which of those can you shoot another person for pleasure and not wind up in prison? Airsoft replicas have as much a purpose as their "real steel" counterparts albeit much different, that doesn't make them any more useless or impractical. Maybe you can't understand that I but I do.
I remember seeing the FN SCAR on sale for over 4k, but I dont remember seeing any ACR's.
It might of been, to me it looks like a farking ACR from far away. But even if I was rich, I don't think I would of touched it with a 50ft pole. I don't shoot enough to own something like that. If I go shooting I normally will rent weapons.
JC0352
04-02-2009, 04:43 PM
And which of those can you shoot another person for pleasure and not wind up in prison?
What?!
Maybe it's because I've shot people/been shot at/lost friends, but I just cannot relate to that question. You're not doing much good in the way of airsoft's image...
kalmar01
04-02-2009, 04:48 PM
Airsoft is a game that replicates the equipment and tactics used in modern combat - part of that is shooting people. If you have a problem with that then you have a problem with airsoft, which is your right entirely.
Point is airsoft is about fun, and people end up spending a lot of money in a lot of different ways to have fun. If you don't like the way I do then so be it, nothings going to change...
