The only reason I looked in this topic was to see the potential argument about the relevance of having the photos posted.

I did not intend on actually seeing any of these sick pictures as I thought the people who post them would be sensible and decent enough to have them as links, not as VISIBLE IMAGES.

This is what the world's militaries are for. The cool looking tanks/aircraft/guns that many are fans of have two purposes. They protect those who paid for them, and they do it by making the bad guy's brains drip out of their smashed skulls.

Of course the pics are of a military nature. He wasn't killed in a car wreck. He was killed in a military op.

The pics are posted as links, with a large visible warning of graphic content. Those not wanting to see the a-hole's brains need not click the link. To do so & then complain is a bit silly.

Kids should not be trolling the Internet unsupervised. That's just a really, really bad idea, for obvious reasons.

Dear friends of the forum, some people said the right thing here. There is ample warning about the graphic content, you don't have to click on it. If you do, you can't blame the person that posted it..If nothing else if you are so enthusiastic about military hardware, you might as well see what it is designed for. Of course it is very sanitised to debate weapons and ammunition, nice sleek machines and macho sports like troops in action. This is what the 'action' refers to.

I am quite aware that military equipment is, ultimately, built to kill. But I think posting pictures of corpses just for some people to gloat over it as some sort of trophy is disgusting. We obviously seem to have different mentalities here, I do not see the posting of pictures of mutilated corpses is pretty stupid, sick minded and frankly, disgusting.

May I also remind you that the validity of the assasination is a touchy subject for many forum members, some of which who may not agree that this was a valid military action, so the subject matters' links directly to military matters are somewhat contraversial.

You may also want to know that this forums happens to have edit functions. When I first looked at this thread, several pictures were posted (albeit, quoted) as VISIBLE IMAGES not links, hence my disgust.

No you really need to examine your logical unit. What One was saying, was that IF Yassin where to die, he would have wanted it to be like this. He didn't say that he wanted to die, but WHEN he had to die he'd want it to be like this.

Fair enough - when I saw the thread they were posted as links with warnings (as they should be), not as pics.

I maintain that this was indeed a military op, planned and executed by a military. If we decide to post/not post based on political leanings, we'd never be able to post anything here!

In the pictures, his corpse was being examined at a medical facility, no? It was not being dragged around by Israelis, beaten with sticks, hung from bridges, etc. He was simply killed in a military operation, examined and photographed.

It is the potential fate of anybody who chooses to enter into the military arena. He was not an innocent boy riding the bus to school. He was the de facto military leader of Hamas - a position he relished.

He had absolutely no problem getting Palestinian children to splatter themselves in order to maintain his position & power. Why should we shed a tear when he's the one splattered?
