I've had it. I've spent all day in front of my PC. My eyes are square, my bum's gone flat, I've got repetitive strain disorder on both of my digitae secundae (Latin lovers feel free to correct my errata) and my esophagus is so parched it's cracking.

So its scrumpy time. Hasta mañana.......................

Notice how everyone in pubs is drinking Marners Irish Cider? All testimony to TV adverts and product placement in pubs and bars. Three months ago they would have been drinking lager or whatever. People are sheep.

That's what i'm talking about. Every cnut seems to think he has 'discovered' a new drink, but in fact the breweries control their mind.

Yeah, we sell shed loads of that stuff, in a glass with ice, just like the advert. Apparently Bulmers tastes better.

It just goes to show the power of advertising.
Marketing Director: We're gonna push this *shows poster campaign*
*Everyone starts drinking said drink*

I'm confused. I appropriated myself with a Magner's pint glass from my local, and then I see an ad for Bulmer's... They both share the same logo and font.

Magners is pish. I've discovered a new drink, Perry. (Perry is to pears what cider is to apples.) Mainly cos it's sold in Wetherspoons for 2.99, you get a 750ml bottle of 7.5% perry. How classy I looked drinking it straight out the bottle in the corner slowly losing control of my limbs.

Morning all. The scrumpy I imbibe is the “pure” variety made by a local farmer. Nothing added, except the dead mice, straw bird sh*t etc. No fizz, nothing and it goes down a treat.

Sheep like you say
Since when was Ireland ever known as a cider making country FFS.
Marketing BS - you can flog any kind of gnat's piss as long as you stick Irish on label

It would not surprise me if Magners is owned by Budwasser, somewhere down the line. Where else would a seemingly small irish family brewery get the clout to market their products to such an extent.
