So I am going to Arizona in a few weeks (yes I know how hot it is going to be), and I was wondering if anyone has any good info on campgrounds in and around the city of Phoenix. Camping is a lot more interesting than paying for a hotel downtown.

If anyone has any good suggestions about other things to do in the area other than avoiding serial killers and not dying of heat stroke I would love to hear them...

Death.

We have a saying in Arizona "But it's dry heat". Things to do in the area? Well there is Castles & Coasters, Alice Cooper has a restaurant, you have the Arizona Diamondbacks, hmmm, Sedona is not too far away, such a beautiful place, especially for camping. Not sure what you really like, but that's a small start.

Yeah the Diamondbacks are away when I am there but I think we are gonna drive to San Diego for a day and watch them play the Dodgers.

I want to camp close to or in Phoenix for a few days so I can still do the city thing and camp at nights instead of staying in a hotel.

I'm not sure what the weather reports for Phoenix are, but here in Tucson it's not suppossed to be higher then 80 all week long. I was outside in the middle of the day and the temp was no more then 75. (Another ice age is coming :p)

Lol. Lets see, right now Phoenix is hot as hell. And we have a serial killing rapist on the loose. Best bet for things to do is stay inside.
