Thats where I went to, some fancy schmancy Italian restaurant. Its like that A&W commercial about two couple eating at a fancy restaurant and were still hungry afterwards.

It's too light colored and tender for me..and I hate the fact that it's a baby calf:-(

I'd much rather have a big NY Strip steak than a wimpy piece of whitish looking meat..

People who says 'fancy schmancy' usually consider McDonald's a restaurant.

Well I don't see what's bad about tender meat :|

Tender meat is more expensive for a reason...

I think most expensive and tender cuts of meat are pretty bland and tasteless. Veal in particular. Fillet steak is another one. Yes its very tender so I suppose if you're old and lacking some gnashers its a good option. Matured rib eye steak is by far the tastiest slice of cow you can get.

I had veal last night actually, I love it. It's definitely not as pleasant when it's tough (which it's likely to be), but the one I had last night was perfect...only had to use my fork to cut it. And it was topped with marsala sauce..mmm...

I've never had veal, I've tried to make it into Weinerschnitzel for German class in school, but we couldn't find any. And besides if I did.... that really hot bitch would've been bitching to me, "OMG You killed a baby cow for this? You Murderer!"

If I've never talked to you before and never even heard of you before, you have no right to talk about me and my undersize *****.

That said, I'm not a fan of veal. I like cows, I like calves, but the meat just doesn't do it for me. The Army used to give us veal patties every once in a while - it was edible but not something I'd want to go out and buy.

Don't think I've ever had rabbit, though. And I've recently developed an aversion to lamb (I think I prefer goat!)

Rather have big cow than little cow - veal isn't all its cracked up to be.

One question, what's so special about veal? Is there anybody besides some vegetarians who never had veal?

Schnitzel Trivia: The real Wiener Schnitzel is veal. Schnitzel "Wiener Art" is pork. Though most of the "Wiener Schnitzel" you get are pork and shouldn't be allowed to be called Wiener Schnitzel.

personally, veal in and of itself is not really that good, HOWEVER, a good veal Parmesean, now thats a different story, in fact Veal Parmesean is http://i18.photobucket.com/albums/b124/EMANAFPJ/3e02b130.jpg

Goes good with a merlot.

The pork is getting an inferiority complex.

Veal is OK, I like good steaks better. Venison is excellent when prepared right. It's all about what you're comfortable with....

Amen to that. I've got a brother who would eat sauteed racoon's asshole if you put enough sauce on it. I'm a little bit more of a fussy eater.

When you eat lamb, it's generally not something that looks like this

http://img363.imageshack.us/img363/6587/lambwo3.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

Closer to this

http://img156.imageshack.us/img156/8741/marino3ip4.jpg (http://imageshack.us)

And that is probably still a bit light on. You're looking at around 50kg, which would dress down to about 20kg
