Some photos feels kind of renaissance to me. The middle age was earlier, the
renaissance started already under the early 14th century in Italy. But it came
to Sweden first during early 16th century, when it had almost ended already.
So it depends on the country as well of course.

And here is reenactment of Grunwald battle form 2003 (every year there is one and i.e. 2 years ago battle was so fierce that instead of Poles, Teutonick Knights won. Last year outcome was 2 fingers and 1 eye lost, multiple broken ribs, broken hand, and a lot of minor cuts ;-) )

I live in the southern tip of Sweden and I have as close there as I have to
the medieval events in Sweden, as on the island of Gotland and so forth,
could just as well check out Grunwald 2004, perhaps perhaps, but itīs seems
interesting, beer, Polish hookers and a weeks vacation in one of your hospitals.

Roncesvalles battle, may be some ancestor of mine were there. Charlemagne told some lies to his poets, they wrote about a big muslim army, but they were far from Roncesvalles, it was only an ambush of basques tribes, these stingy francs didnīt want to pay taxes in the Adouenne, p-) Ahh, the good old times. There was an old bridge near Leon, which was shut by a knight called Suero de Quiņones, he said everybody wanting to cross the bridge had to fight with him, so the biggest tournement of that time was made, it seems they were boring because there wasnīt Champions League. rofl

Well it depends Who You were - if You were a nobel knight it wasnt that bad - Knights were captured as prisoners of war for ransom.
