Yeah, I think you're right when I look at it. The BM-59 is a suped-up Italian version of the Garand, right?

No he wasn't

Ezra Coli never shot with me. And the guy with gray hair, is not the same guy in my secret location.

So it is still secret ;)

Yes, lots of dealer samples and such. I have no idea what the M-16 conversion is, but it was really fun.

Mark Sman got it, yes, that's a Beretta BM-59. What a nice rifle indeed.

PermskiiOMON, man bro, how I wish I could say I had met you! But at least we have some common friends (but no, not the fellow in the white hair, he's a local fellow).
PermskiiOMON's privacy is not violated. I nor anyone in these pictures have met PermskiiOMON.

Vance, this is in a small town north of College Station where many of us gather periodically for such episodes. About 2 hours drive from Houston, Austin and San Antonio, kind of right in between all of them.

I figured I'd share since a lot of us enjoy firearms here, and being new I had not contributed anything yet, so I did what I had.

Cheers!
Ezra

Militia or shooting on your own land?

(Noticed the lack of any targets beside a car...and the lack of posture of one of the shooters in the background - don't arch your back backwards like that. ;) )

No pics of targets, no a lack thereof. Posture??? Who?

Third gentlemen from the left, holding pistol. Lack of 'agressivness' in his stance makes him put his weight on his heels, wich will affect his ability to hit 10's.

One a sidenote: I know it's 'fun' to shot through water-puddles like in an hollywood movie - but it's a little...to much militia/gun-collectors feeling over 'the real deal', so to speak... :]

No offence I hope.

im no expert shooter by any means, but im a decent marksman with a handgun and ive taken numerous firearms safety classes, and i can say that by looking at these pictures-its a miracle no one got injured...in my opinion i see some of the sloppiest firearm handling and most neglegent aiming ever. Specifically the photos of guys shooting concerningly close to their feet.

To me it looks like the guy is having a problem with the recoil and not his stance. Just my two cents though.

Looks perfectly safe to me. EVERYONE is wearing hearing and eye protection. Are we both looking at the same photos?

Also, you can bet that a civilian FFL dealer who owns a FN P90 in the states knows his ****. Again, how is this unsafe? They're just having fun, that's all. ;)

In the background of the pic of the dude shooting the FAL, does that dude have a bayonet on the end of his 12 guage??

I can see the practicality of it, in theory anyway, but not in practice hehe.

I must assure you that most of the Ezra's friends have been shooting weapons for longer than most of you've been alive.

I've known Ezra for years from our other place, and everytime these fine gentleman have shoots, nobody gets hurt.

They know what they're doing, and I would too have a pleasure in shooting with them.

We must organize the Arizona-TX meet.

George Bush, you should tag alone.

I provide the finest Russian weapons, you guys bring your asses.

Speaking of this summer adventures.

I am trying to organize a special shoot, and inviting Mikhail Dragunov, Viktor Kalashnikov and couple of other Izhmash's finest to come out in USA and shoot with us.

Who knows, they would be cool to get ATF into it, and bring Bizon, Vintorez, SV-98, Groza and other exotics for the shoot.

That would be an amazing wealth of knowledge and experience in one forum.

http://www.diemaco.com/images/lsw.gif

The Diemaco LSW provides the Infantry Section and others, a lightweight, sustained fire weapon, for engaging point or area targets to 800 metres. The LSW is a very cost effective alterative to the dedicated belt fed machine gun.

FEATURES

The provision of a hammer forged heavy barrel, bipod and forward grip, permits very accurate and controlled fire.
The LSW is also equipped with a hydraulic buffer which reduces the rate of fire for better accuracy and control.
The LSW shares training and parts commonality with the rest of the C7 family, with benefits to the user both in training and in combat.
The LSW reduces Infantry Section logistic requirements because the LSW uses the same nature of ammunition in the same magazines, the same parts, cleaning equipment, tools and maintenance training as other C7 Family members.
Diemaco (http://www.diemaco.com)

my guess.

Merik nailed it. The recoil of a full auto Glock emptying a 30 round mag will do that to a fella! ;) He managed it quite well. That guy is a class II manufacturer, he's the owner of much of that exotic stuff, and has been shooting longer than I have been alive. Perhaps the photo captured a rather odd moment, but there is video of this weapon being fired (I don't have it but will see if I can find it on the other board) and it does generate thrust more than recoil.

No offence taken friend.

Well, we ARE gun collectors ;), and I think distance may be illusionary. Who would fire at a mud puddle at close range lest he be covered in mud? And shooting water is therapy. After all, paper targets do not explode into froth, there is a satisfaction in occasionally making waves in water.

usa320, sloppy gun handling? No, just having fun. Safety courses? I teach 'em. You guys close by should come join us for a shoot or two.

obd, yes, he's got a US prison gun/riot/military type Mossberg, issued with a bayonet. Its a collector thing I suppose. Where else can one enjoy quirks that collectors have like bayonets or camouflage uniforms? We see the uniform collector parties in Japan and China, we see pics of Airsofters and cowboy-action shooters, all wear period costume or gear up with stuff that is unnecessary or silly to those who are not involved, but we all do things like that. So, if you have the bayonet, might as well use it, if only for photo ops.

PermskiiOMON,

Man, if you guys have an Arizona shoot I am THERE! You can bet there would be quite a contingent from Texas there. We would love to have you at the Calvert shoot too, while we'll have many Russians attending, there's always room for more. :D

Fair enought - photos can be a bitch to time for all three like that. =)

Yeah, I know. When I was a younger lad I competeed with rifle on both range and 'open range', 200-600m, so I know the feeling. After a while the shooters acctually learn exactly how much dust that is being given by an 9-10-10', so we could somewhat spot our score without having to let go of the grip to check the range-scope. =)
