American draft caters to Zionists
12:17:48 È.Ù
Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki in Tehran Monday said America and France have embarked on a new operation against Lebanon by their draft resolution.
In the opening speach of a seminar titled "World and Regional Outcomes of the Zionist regime's onslaught," Manouchehr Mottaki objected to the draft resolution proposed by America and France in which Lebanon and the Lebanese Islamic Resistance Movement Hezbollah are named as the beginners of war.
"By this new resolution, they are trying to get what the Zionist regime failed to achieve through military means," Mottaki said.
Stressing that the recent aggression on Lebanon is not the first and last one by the Zionist regime, Mottaki said the regime has once again occupied parts of Lebanon's territory in an 18 year term and UN Security Councils resolutions could not stop the regime's aggressions.
In the year 2000, Lebanon's Islamic Resistance Movement made the Zionist regime taste its first defeat and retreat from south Lebanon, Mottaki noted.
He also referred to the retreat from the Gaza Strip as another loss for the Zionist regime in the recent years adding, "Israel wanted to compensate for these humiliations so it started (another) aggression on Lebanon with full American support and the weakness of some Arab states."
"But unlike its expectations, (the Zionist regime) faced the brave resistance of Hezbollah and it failed to achieve its goals," Mottaki said.
The Foreign Minister stressed that the Middle East region is reviving its Islamic identity and exploring its abilities.
He called for a quick halt to the Zionist regime's onslaught and the formation of an International Justice Court to attend to the Zionist regime's atrocities in killing defenseless men, women and children and destroying infrastructure in Palestine and Lebanon.
A number of Iranian and foreign experts are attending the one day seminar.

US, UK complicit in Zionists' crimes
11:17:40 Þ.Ù
Blair and Bush are "co-defendants" in war crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Lebanon, Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said.
Mottaki, the Guardian reported on Monday, also said British and American leaders had foreknowledge of Zionists' plans to launch "campaign of aggression" in Lebanon which he said was part of a "war on the whole Middle East".
IRI's Foreign Minister criticised Blair's refusal to back earliercalls for an immediate ceasefire and the Security Council's failure to condemn Zionists' carnage, including the Qana bombing last week in which dozens of women and children were killed.
"Some Lebanese officials have said that the Zionist regime, because of the many atrocities it has committed and because of the devastation it has brought on Lebanon, has to be prosecuted," he was quoted saying.
"They say it has to be put on trial and it has to pay reparations," Mottaki said.
